Goodwin had some turnovers, but overall, really liked him tonight. He was putting up numbers across the board with decent steals, assists, rebounds...I think he's getting into his groove much like his slow start last year. I foresee double doubles flirting with triple doubles during conf play.

I have no problem with these top 5 starting against FSU. Of course, bring Gordon in fairly quickly. I think this makes sense actually.

I recall one of the StLPD sports analysts use to have a stat that would be positive or negative score depending on the aggregated team scoring while they were on the court. For example, Bess could be +10 if SLU scored 10 more points than the opponent while he was in the game. Or, if Jacobs came in for 5 min and the opponent went on a 10-2 run, he would get scored a -8. This stat is wonderful, and I wish someone would pick it back up again. It conveys the impact of "floor presence".

All I can say is Damarius Jacob's high school highlight tapes are, by far, the most fun to watch of all our freshman.

I trust coach knows his team well and will agree with some of our common critiques. I sense TI is having some attitude problems and he's clearly not adjusting well to A10 play (do we know why he sat out half of the Pitt game?). TI has a good shot so I think he needs to be a SG and get JGood as an attack style PG that can disrupt defenses and create for quick open dishes underneath the rim. This is exactly what he was recruited to do. JGood is not a shooter-- he's a bulldog that likes to drive. JGood has a good body to do so. Let's not forget he was also recruited for football.

Yes, I've learned that isabell is a decent 3pt shooter...so, fine, make him the SG...but make Goodwin the PG, who is not perfect, but plays with a lot of confidence and can drive to the hoop with energy...he creates plays...he can cut to the hoop, attract defenders, and dish if needed... the guy nearly got 2 triple doubles last year bc he led the offense...he needs to be in charge

Amen. I want to see more of Goodwin taking the ball down and cutting to the hoop off a pick. He did some of this last year and it was effective. He plays so well when he knows he's running the offense instead of Isabell. Isabell needs to be the SG that we kick the ball out to when he's wide open.

I really don't like how we setup our offense by doing handoffs at the top of the key. How about some pick and rolls...or something!!! We just stay put and expect something to happen. The guys are moving around, but not running a strategic play... this is why we cant make over 35% FG.

Honestly, we should be taking free throw % very seriously. We will only lose games because of this. We can win any game with mediocre offense, RBs and 75-80 FT %. I'm sure GJ can shoot FTs blind-folded.
