Last minute of regulation KM is a perfect 2/2 on the most pressurized FT’s in WBB history, recklessly fouls a 3 Point shooter, and then goes 2/2 again on what are now the most high pressure FT’s in WBB history. If she misses any of those FT’s, we lose. Just insane…

May does not get enough credit. Tillet, Kalish, Shields….arguably the best coaches we’ve ever enjoyed for the three respective sports (I’m not counting Harry Keough as he was in a completely different universe.). And let’s see what the new volleyball coach can accomplish…all she has to do is link up with local talent

KM was brutal today. 3-17. Many of the shots were not even close. Martinez was amazing. Kept SLU in the game for the last 5 minutes. Where would we be without her?

Two of my brothers went to the Mason game last night after visiting me in St. Louis last weekend. We attended the SLU-Loyola game during their visit. After watching the first half of the Mason game, their texts basically consisted of “if the SLU team we saw last weekend loses to either one of these teams in the A10 tournament, the SLU MBB program should be disbanded….” Unfortunately, they don’t know SLU like we do…..

I think she may have two years if we include the Covid year. It’s just the way she emphasized this was her last game in Chaifetz that was concerning.

Is Peyton coming back? Her game, like those of Brooke and Julia, has exploded under Tillet. Huge improvement. But in her post game interview she lamented the fact this was her last game in Chaifetz. Hopefully I misinterpreted the tone of the comment….

The secret to surviving the above, the Cali rivalry, Grenal, Boca - River, etc…….bring a grey pullover to put on after the game. Saved my life more than a few times….

Timmerman used to put together an NHL style +/- after every game. Would be interesting to see where the pluses and minuses stand with the current team…numbers don’t often lie.

Kind of disappointing Legend did not walk with the rest of the fellows. I believe he’s been to every game this year. He was there yesterday. The applause would have been raucous.

Shout out to the most recent celebrity Billiken fan: Oliver Marmol!!! Lunch with Chaifetz prior to the game and sat beside him courtside, cheering on the Bills. For those of you not familiar with the name, he is the Cardinals manager.

KM is an absolute enigma. Easily the smoothest, most fluid, shot on the team. But she misses, misses, and misses some more. Brutal. 20 misses are 20 turnovers. Coach took her out for about five minutes in second quarter. SLU was probably +10 during that time. Also, I love Brooke on defense. Completely disrupts the opposition. Veritable human eraser and solid rebounder. But I don’t get running transition offense through her. She is not a female Oduro. 4 out of five times a pass to Brooke in transition is a turnover. Needs to cease.

Watching Ciaja keeping Vandy in the game against UT. Don’t think I’ve ever heard SLU mentioned more times in a non-Billiken National broadcast. Announcer is correct, she will make serious $$$ in Europe.

Funny, McBride and Keller also my two favorites all time. Ramos and O’Brien (for me the best technical player ever on the USMNT in the rare moments he was healthy) next on the list. And agree, my respect for Claudio just plummeted.
