  1. In my twitter work today also found an interesting name that is followed by Giacoletti and Stu Durando, Baba Miller a 6'10 wing that plays for Real Madrid (previously U18 Real Madrid), but hasn't gotten a lot of playing time since his call up.  In this write up they have a lot of praise for him.

"I’m pretty high on Baba Miller since Real Madrid signed him. Coaches always say he is a very coachable and unselfish guy. I think it’s very important for him to have tons of minutes to develop his talent at a competitive level, so maybe a college program could be a perfect option for him. In my view he is the U18 prospect with the highest upside and ceiling we’ve had here since Luka Doncic. If his progression goes the right way when his draft arrives, I see him as a sure first round pick and a lottery in the best scenario."

Sounds like a reach recruit for SLU but would be awesome.

I know some guys have been talked about on here and some may be from previous HS recruiting but I thought it was an interesting list to fuel the wild speculation.

Oh no, I was literally just asking. Ive only seen 2 clips of Parker, and he was handling the ball in both. Im wondering is Parker- Fred-nesbitt can all rotate on back up PG.  Im sure Thames will get a chance, don't like to rely on frosh tho.

Not a huge sample size but in their last game he definitely played off ball most of the time (much more similar to Gibson).  Most possessions the PG would break press and bring ball up, he would be out at the wing waiting for a kick out for his shot or to drive.  A few times he got the ball from handoffs and then looked to attack.

  4. A small part of me is missing Lquarles today. Would’ve loved to hear his spin zone of their 17% 3pt shooting and his coming on this board earlier in the season and guaranteeing they would beat us. Glad to return the favor from last year’s loss to them.

  5. Watched the second half of the game last night where Parker did most of his damage (19 of his 23 points). One nice tidbit came with about 2-3 minutes left and Triton had clawed back to be down 4 and the announcers say that this is when they need Parker to make some big buckets and right on queue he makes a nice driving layup and 2 FTs on another possession to help put the game back out of reach. Eerily similar to Perkins for us the past 2 years. Also both teams employed a full court press for the whole time I was watching, is this common in JUCO? It made the game very hectic.

Also this was a nice play (from his IG story): https://instagram.com/stories/sinnyboii.21/2788114795547961586?utm_source=ig_story_item_share&utm_medium=copy_link

Thanks for the analysis!  Always much appreciated.  I would only add LaSalle beat an X-Oduro GM team.  He hurt his left knee against SLU…wrapping it on the bench and slightly hobbled in the second half…uncertain as to when he will return.

He was actually out because of concussion protocol for the Lasalle game. Don’t remember a head injury in the SLU game but could’ve been from practice.

Man I heard they sold out all 17 home games at UD before the season even started. That’s 13k at every game. That’s an intimidating stat I wish we could duplicate.

I don’t really believe that stat or maybe understand it. My youngest sister goes to Dayton and wasn’t able to get into the SLU game so I offered to buy her a ticket and there were hundreds of tickets for sale through the Dayton Ticketmaster (went through UD athletics website) for 5-15$. Are these all resale or what?

Anytime Okoro gets the ball within 6 or so feet of the basket, he should be looking to score unless a double comes. At that point he needs to recognize it's coming quicker and move the ball back out quicker. But, when he's 1v1 I'm like Roy, I want him trying to score

This is basically my thoughts on this as well.

The one thing I want to pay more attention to is how much okoro is getting doubled.  French's last 2 years for the bills he was basically an auto double and because of this he was able to get a good amount of assists.  From my memory at least I do not think teams are doubling okoro that much because they are content with manning him up 1 on 1 in the post.  If his offensive numbers go up his assists will hopefully follow because he will be getting doubled more.
