  1. Any article about the Billikens would be an interesting read, but I really enjoyed this one. Kudos, sir.
  2. Perfectly personifies the total domination we demonstrated throughout the game. Practically effortlessly, I might add.
  3. Doesn't mean I can't appreciate! And if you lose that tone of font, maybe I'll share with you.
  4. And their cheerleading squad was ranked #1 in the nation in the abas115 poll.
  5. He has 0% body fat and a 44" vertical as a freshman, he needs to throw down more often. That's the way to get more students into the games and get the crowd more into it. We need to be bigger and louder down the stretch to start winning more of these games and getting more fans into the stadium. Yes, I agree that we need to stick to our slow-paced, fundamentally sound style of play, but a flashy play every once in a while won't hurt us.
  6. Retired numbers should be reserved for the players who can not only compare to the greats of the past but who is to come in the future. That being said, we need to wait long enough to make the arguments for players like DE and KM because it'll mean much more when we can say "they took us to two and three appearances in the dance and set numbers that few players in decades could compare to." What if we were to retire their numbers right away and then we get another player that comes along in two years and puts up the same numbers? All of a sudden we have twenty retired jerseys up in the rafters and the honor becomes meaningless. DE and KM definitely have an argument, but we can't justify it until we see how they match up over time.
  7. Let's just hope they don't score more points than us... that would be horrible too.
  8. DE MM and RL? Are you kidding?? You forgot about the secret weapon: Joey LePak.
  9. Dwayne Polk. Best Billiken of the 21st century.
  10. +10000 hahaha are you gonna be able to get the crowd pumped up for this game? We're gonna have to be involved if we wanna take this one home!
  11. Agreed. The only teams we've lost to are both top ten teams! Early in the season before we were able to develop players' roles on the team, I see nothing wrong with that. Maybe we haven't beaten anyone? But we also have proven that we can beat everybody we face that isn't a top ten team in the nation. Therefore, 11th in the nation? Would that be fitting? Not necessarily, but you get the idea. And to add to it... we have a twelve game winning streak right now. We're undefeated since nearly November. The games that count, we're winning. We haven't had any more challenges with which to prove ourselves after only a month into the season, and that's no time for a team to have everything together. We've done everything we can, and to say the only way we could've "proved ourselves" was if we were 20-0 is a little crazy.
  12. -1000000000 to anybody saying we're going to drop in the rankings... WE WON THE GAME. No voters go by point differential, especially when it was a road game. It's always tough to win on the road, no matter whom you are playing. Bright sides to the Duquesne game: -We proved how deep we are. DE left his game back in St. Louis but we still scrapped out the win with BIG plays from AM, showing hope for next year. -We proved we can win without relying on our defense. We absolutely did not play like the best defense in the nation, but we still won. ON THE ROAD. Only thing that game showed us is that we are a team that can win without relying on our stars or our defense, and that threatens teams for the future because now they know they have more than just two factors to play against. We won't move a single spot backwards in the rankings and if anything we'll move up one or two. 7 spots? By no chance. But we're definitely not dropping, come on "fans".
  13. But we have the better coach. On a neutral court, we take it by 5.
  14. 7 spots is a bold prediction, I see us settling at 16-17th IF Ohio State and Umass fall far enough. I could see them being 17th and 18th right behind us. Big loss at home for the Minutemen. About as big as the notorious Santa Clara loss we're all trying hard to forget. Once we pummel GM and Richmond we'll move up to 12-14?
  15. Best parking is easily at Sigma Aldrich about 1 1/2 blocks away from the Fetz. Not too crowded, inexpensive and an easy walk.
  16. Even better was the pride I could take in my team while the rest of my friends were whining and moaning, and even CRYING because they got upset. And then even better was the game that truly marked the beginning of the rise of the Billikens. Columbus and San Jose were two of the best experiences of my life.
  17. I understand where you're coming from, however can you really say Crews looks as good this year as he has the last two years? Shouldn't a coach as great as himself be able to adjust to teams' weaknesses and create some kind of floor leader out of all the talent we have? I sure would think so. This team definitely has some problems to work out before conference play, but regardless I'm anxious to see it play out.
  18. +10000000000000000000000000000 for the entire thread. If this doesn't hit the market, I will be very very disappointed.
  19. Who cares, the real coverage will be from section 115 where I'll be live tweeting the whole time. @Lil_Bas. You're welcome.
  20. I'm already throwing the game as part of a deal to get a date with Kendall Jenner.
  21. Super intelligent, 4.0 GPA I believe, so he's gonna have an easy transition into the academics. He's a great rebounder and pretty athletic, but he needs to put on about 30 pounds. (6'11" and somewhere between 185-200lbs) He's averaged between 2-3 blocks a game since his freshman year and if that's something he can bring with him he'll be a nice contradiction to the type of play we're used to with the Newzilliken. 13ppg, 9.4rpg, and 2.9bpg for his career. Nice well rounded statsheet.
