  1. Unfortunately people on the board seem to question where you are coming from in your above comments. What can be perceived as you 'bashing' a website regarding information that many of us appreceiate (one of the main points that drew me to this board), probably is actually just insecurity or jealously towards the recognition this person (or people) receive for the value they bring. Try to harness your emotions for good. That said, what good can come from this? I think a lot. What are the website addresses of your developing (or failed) sites? I am sure that these guys could offer up some constructive criticism or ideas that could help you get moving. If they are busy, I would gladly provide you some insight for changes to existing sites or ideas for your future website endeavours. This can be a great learning experience. Patrick
  2. I am confused, why would SLU want John Stamos to give the commencement speech? Patrick
  3. Agreed. Servicemen and women truly rise and grind. Thank you for all you do. Obama giving the orders to take down Bin Laden two weeks ago is something we can all be proud of. Patrick
  4. Sometimes the greatest leaders come from humble beginings (ie. Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women and Children in Honolulu, HI). Patrick
  5. That useless & random piece of knowledge reminds me of Deep Thoughts by Jack Handy. "Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, you'll be a mile from them, and you'll have their shoes." Patrick
  6. Settle down. I think you are taking copy rights enfringment to the extreme in this scenario. What you are saying isn't incorrect but the high school basketball player may actually have more to gain by the use of his photo than the prep website. In fact, I would imagine the kid likes the spotlight. If not, The most damaging action would be having to remove the photo. I think whomever owns the site can rest easy. False alarm. 7. Having only been in St.Louis a handful of times this past season, I feel a little like an outsider around the issues leading to Salecich leaving. I've got to say that Southern Missouri is a surprise. I would most likely go somewhere with a strong academic reputation with basketball not being my priority, or I would return to Australia. It seems like Southern Mo doesn't provide much of an advantage in academics or basketball. In either case, good luck and hopefully he'll make a visit for some of our games next year. Patrick
  8. The SLU soccer topic interested me in this thread, apparently we have gone far off topic. In any manner, the facts above end this argument. Facts tend to do that to people who just spout their biased views on forums. Not surprised this individual has a Fox News logo has his avatar....fitting. By the way, awesome clip of Ream. Patrick
  9. Even better for the young man to earn his degree. Patrick.
  10. Joe- Thanks. I will not dive into my thoughts on Seinfeld either. Patrick
  11. Roy- Lets refrain from being too harsh on Ankielbreaker's attempt to statistically prove we will be better next year. I thought it was a fantastic attempt but the assumptions made probably aren't all correct and therefore the hypothesis may be flawed. But I like the thinking! Well Done. Patrick
  12. A manhunt is slightly unnecessary, Joe. I don't even live in the St. Louis area anymore except to return for weddings and the occasional basketball game. Are you upset because I support Cassity? Patrick
  13. Fellow Billiken Fans, Last year was rough especially due to the high expectations following the A10 regular season results the year prior. However, we should not be this negative about last year, our offense came from guys just 1 yr removed from high school. I am excited to see these guys mature and get out of the court next year with Mitchell. I also don't understand all of the anger towards Cassity, I guess he just became the target to unload frustration. I think the visual of Obama at ground zero with our NYC firefighters really put things into perspective for me this week. Looking forward to next season! “If you're walking down the right path and you're willing to keep walking, eventually you'll make progress.” - Barack Obama Patrick
  14. Billiken Rich- I'll take a moment to explain this to you, afterall life is all about learning and growing. RT" or "retweeting" is simply taking a twitter post from someone else and forwarding (rebroadcasting) it to your followers. Here are a few common ways to retweet a message (all do the same thing): RT @originalsender: original message retweet @originalsender: original message retweeting @originalsender: original message Retweeting can be a great way to add followers, as it pushes your @username into foreign social graphs, which in turn results in clicks back to your profile. Let me know if I can further explain anything. "In a global economy where the most valuable skill you can sell is your knowledge, a good education is no longer just a pathway to opportunity – it is a pre-requisite." - Barack Obama Patrick
  15. I read on the Tennessee board that it is 2:30 EST. I don't have a good feeling but it looks like Tennesse doesn't either. Patrick
  16. Huh? Excuse me if you find humor in my name. My elders named me after one of the most celebrated orators in the history of America, and yes you correctly recited one of his lines. Clever. Patrick
  17. I had a cousin in an english class with Willie last semester. Based on his feedback/comments, it is impressive the athletic dept was able to keep him around as long as they did. Good luck to the guy though, I hope he gets drafted. Any word on any big bodies that we may be after this spring? Patrick
  18. I came across this board while googling about SLU basketball. I love the recruiting information that I see so far. Thanks! Patrick
