Moser should take slightly more money and own Chicago at DePaul imo - sh** job currently but better than Loyola was when Moser took it over and much higher ceiling. Or stay and hope that ND tanks another year, he would fit perfectly there.

A higher ceiling than a Sweet 16 and a Final Four in a four year period?

  2. Georgia Tech and Illinois both hit Loyola with a zone defense.

The fact that Loyola was shooting below 20% from the perimeter for most of the game (1-9 in the first half) had a way of making the zone look obvious today.  Loyola had lots of good looks all around, but they were obviously not falling.

Loyola is actually a team the network doesn’t mind advancing.  There is a good story that draws in viewers with Sister Jean.

This is so true. My parents became big bandwagon Loyola fans in 2018 and hoped on the bandwagon again when Loyola played Drake in the regular season.  And Sister Jean is to blame.

If Moser stays at Loyola after this year he likely isn’t leaving anytime soon. If Loyola does hang on to him it is time for the A10 to add Loyola.

    It will be very interesting.

Porter Moster basically has tenure at Loyola and earns $1.2 million.

No way he goes to Indiana.

He can double his salary at Marquette but the pressure...

Loyola has two families that have been kicking in money so I expect his salary to go up $500K.

Loyola defense is great but their offense has so much more of a purpose than ours. The board loves to criticize our guys for their lack of doing anything on offense but maybe it's the system

Loyola makes mistakes, but the effort is never in doubt.

Historically, they were almost a founding member of the MVC. Joined 7-10 years later.

    Quick story about the history...

SLU thought that Washington University kept them out of the MVC in 1907.

Later, Washington University thought that SLU kept them from playing the conference teams when the Bears left the Valley in 1942.

Watching this Porter coached Team right now... I don’t watch a bunch of other teams throughout the year and this is the first Ive seen Loyola play. Two takeaways. Krutwig is a physical anomaly! And Porter truly is a Majerus lite.

Porter Moser was good enough to get a job, but not keep it until he worked for Majerus. No question.

Why? What’s the point of this?

    Is the answer not obvious?

A poster responded to my question with what he or she thought was a very clever The Office reference.   I responded and then responded again with a The Office reference.

I’m not usually the butt of the joke. I’m usually the face of the joke.
