  1. i was being tongue in cheek...........FSM "player of the game".
  2. what is wrong with pujols, indeed. 3 for 7, game-winning RBI, FSM "player of the game". boom.
  3. "What he does is, the offense has been struggling, so he's expanded his strike zone," Cardinals manager Tony La Russa said of Pujols. "If he was thinking about himself, he'd maybe be hitting 20 points higher, but he wouldn't have all the production. He is such a great, winning player."
  4. campy8 seems like an early candidate for the return of metz
  5. p.s. i believe peterhale is the same guy who keeps randomly posting players names on stltoday billiken article comment sections, implicating them in the alleged scandal earlier this year. what a lowlife.
  6. wow, this peter hale sure is an angry little guy... i know this definitely isn't metz, but i thought this was an appropriate place to post this: from stltoday.com http://www.stltoday.com/sports/college/slu...l?mode=comments peterhale05 said on: July 16, 2010, 9:45 am Steve Rogers, the admin of billikens.com is not a Saint Louis University alum, nor current student. In fact, Rogers attended George Washington University, one of our A-10 foes. This is like me running a Cubs message board. Rogers is an arrogant punk who thinks he is better than everyone else. He was born on third base and deluded enough to think he had hit a triple. The way you ban people for being a fan of a University you were never priviledged enough to attend is pathetic.
  7. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/world-cup/col...5901&ver=us hey look, peoria gets a mention! (last word in article.) isn't that where the cardinals have a minor league team?
  8. A loss would not get us in at all bc that would put Algeria at 4 and Slovenia at 4(+), so we would be eliminated. Good analysis otherwise. Metz, that picture looks like it's from nydailynews.com, not the New York Times.
  9. Metz, what shouldn't have happened was the whistle being blown on that play. Slovenia had talent and they scored two good goals. We also have talent and scored 3. Enough excusing poor refereeing. This is infuriating. The USA will prevail!
  10. boy, this 101.1 espn online feed sounds soooo tinny and distant. anybody have a better link? -ron rimmerman
  11. roy, brian doesn't look stupid at all. you should listen to the reasoning and logic and avoid the name calling. even if you don't agree with him, you shouldn't assume that you're right and jump all over him with your pathos argument. brian's suggestion is a great idea if men and women are truly equal!
  12. from the alton telegraph article: The Billikens have struggled at times with turnovers. And that's one aspect the Rams hope to exploit. "We're not ball strong sometimes," said Cockstrong. "Part of it's fatigue. Part of it is strength and part of it is lack of athletic ability. But the kids are great. And this tournament has been great for us."
  13. HAHAHAHA. You are exactly right! I would and have done that! I've got the better fielding percentage and the better arm! It's all about winning, so I'm gonna do what I can to help my team win!
  14. They're really ripping on the SLU Band on the VCU board... Set the dogs loose. ------------- Sorry to corrupt this thread but here is what Rick will be hearing in SLU Make your opinions..... Its a nice story ------------- I swear it looked like one of the old guys was playing a conch shell... and Rick will feel like he is right at home...the other night during one of their games they played....wait for it...... Living on a Prayer  ------------- Looks like another boring band filled with people not in school. Heck they have an 86 year old man. Geez, I'm thankful for Ryan and the pep band. ------------- There ain't no pep in that band. ------------- Watching their games on TV the last few nights, I've heard way too much "When the Saints Go Marching In" in the background.... ------------- I love the Budweiser theme!!
  15. God said, "Let there be light!" And Rammer said, "Say please." - Mr. T pities the fool that makes Rammer mad. - Some say that if you hold a seashell to your ear you can hear the ocean. If, however, you were to hold the shoe of Rammer to your ear, you would hear a thousand years worth of screaming women and children.
  16. Men's division 2, man. I would rather watch elementary school boys basketball than womens' basketball ANY day. Womens' basketball is unwatchable.
  17. HEY, MAN, THAT WAS A PRETTY IMPRESSIVE FIRST POST! I DIDN'T THINK THESE FOGIES COULD GET THEIR UNDERWEAR MUCH FURTHER UP THEIR ASSES, BUT YOU SURE DID IT TO THEM. YOUR PROVOKING MAY HAVE BEEN ALCOHOL-FUELED, BUT MY GOD, IT STILL COUNTS AS ONE OF THE BEST FIRST POSTS OF ALL TIME. GO BILLS!
  18. you're failing to understand the psyche of willie reed. watch him play...he gets fired up. he loves when the crowd is into it. did you see his block against rhode island when we were losing badly? he whacked it about 90 feet into the crowd because he was angry and he was trying to get people fired up. he's a PASSIONATE player. he has real FIRE! after the dayton game, he was up on a table dancing in front of blue crew. NO ONE loves the crowd and works the crowd more than willie reed. he's not the type of guy who likes silence. it is not patronizing or embarrassing at all for the crowd to chant while he shoots a free throw. he loves it! it might not help his form, but it helps his confidence, and that's what he needs, not silence.
  19. P.S. Flashman and I each gave SLU $140,000. So take that. That's $280,000. Chaifetz gave zero when he went to SLU. At this rate, we're set to give SLU SOOO much more than the good doctor once we become rich, you don't even understand!
  20. HAHA. Thanks. What can I say, I'm a baller...a uniballer. I'm just confused.
  21. O.K. When I donate near a billion dollars to the City of St. Louis and SLU later in my lifetime (hey...if Mel Gibson can make a billion, I can make a billion), all y'all better be ready to ..................................
  22. I'll take a fan who's there through the THICK AND THE THIN, baby. The GOOD TIMES AND THE BAD. Lawd knows we've had long stretches of the latter. Like a lot of you junkies...after we got invited to the CBI...some of you declared that the URI loss was "just too much." "I'm packing it in for the summer" some of you said here on billikens.com. No, no, no, that's not how it works. It's all Bills all the time, man. We got invited to a post-season TOURNEY! and some people still were gonna pack it in. I ain't heard such pansy talk since I took a pee in the ladies room.
  23. I can vouch for Flashman (no homo)...he's one of the loudest, rowdiest, Billikens fans we have... Like Mike Fink (King of the River), Flashman can out-run, out-jump, out-sing, out-swim, out-dance, out-shoot, out-eat, out-drink...out-talk, out-cuss, out-fight anybody in the whole Mississippi and Ohio Rivers put together! He's saying why ain't Chaifetz at every game??? Commercial flights are 45 minutes and you KNOW ya boy either has his own plane or flies charter...He could be to the game in a half-hour! That's a lot faster than a lot of our Illinoize and County fans can get to the game! Flashman is the best type of Billiken fan...a NO EXCUSES, YA ***** Billiken Fan! Every game! Stand the entire game except for when the cheerleaders are throwing balls at the crowd! No leaving early! So if he thinks even Dr. Chaifetz shouldn't get a free pass for missing games, that's just his passion for the team showing. He wants everybody to be as Billiken crazy as he is, so don't go all psycho. NO EXCUSES! -Ron Rimmerman
