Barely beating St. Joe does make me optimistic but I hope I am surprised. Maybe both Jimerson and Perkins shoot well from 3 and Okoro comes back to last season’s form.

The new transfer rules allows a new coach to bring his players with them so it probably won’t take 5 years. I will only be living with in the area another 5 to 8 years so I am running out of time to watch a top 25 Billikens team play in Chaifetz.

Respectfully, let the fans of the team be fans instead of being disrespectful with posts like this. Laughing at fans and posting it is unbecoming. Even though I do not think this team and coach are good enough to make the big dance I encourage the fans that still care and I am glad for those fans.

I have been asking for Hughes and got him for a while but other than that the same old team that cannot defend and same old A10 officiating.

Scoring issues and giving up wide open 3’s the horrible trend continues

Based on the shoot around only, Cisse’s shot is much better. Cisse hits about half of his 3 point shots moving around the arc. Cisse is exactly like Traore when defended at the post he does not know how to finish. Put in a play to get Cisse a 3 point shot which seems to be his offensive strength. Note to Ford quit doing the same thing and expecting a different result.

16-24 is horrible at the very least it should be even to have any success. This team has not proven that it can break the losing trend so no hope of breaking even unless Ford stops doing the same thing and expecting different results.

Since moving down to the lower bowl 5 years ago I don’t want to go back but it makes good sense and would save me $1600.00. Unless our team improves I will be skipping the middle of the week games it’s too far of a drive on a work night to watch home losses. I hope this team and coach can win the A10 tournament or this will be one sad year.

Nice job coach Ford, I hope you are hearing it from fans, coaches, friends and more importantly your boss Chris May. I am currently not committed to renewing my 4 seats. It’s time for the coach to change his ways or he needs to go. The season can be saved by not doing the same thing and expecting a different result.

Yes I am, in my opinion, but my opinion is about the numbers. TJ 14.6 minutes, 3.8 points, 2.9 Rb’s, 44.7 FG, 60 Ft, 26.3 3pt. Nothing special for more than 15 minutes. Thatch, 21.7 minutes, 6.6 points, 4.4 Rb’s, 45 Fg, 63.2 Ft, 35 3 3pt. Okay but the free throw shooting needs to improve. I have no idea what Thames can do with real minutes but the guys in front of him are not playing well enough in my opinion that Thames should get some of those minutes. Hughes played quality minutes against Providence he should get in every game.

Perkins had a bad stretch hitting 3’s and now it’s Jimerson. Perkins got his shot back and so will Jimerson. Yuri tries to do too much when shots are not falling and most times it does not work. Ford drives me crazy when he does not sit a player and replace them with one of the freshmen for just a few minutes. Cisse should have played 3 or 4 minutes in the SIUE game, Hughes should see 5 minutes every game. Thatch and Hargrove are not playing so well in that Thames and Hughes could have some of their minutes.

The 2 new bigs will be tougher than the 2 bigs playing now. One of the bigs is a tight end. Cisse can hit 3 pointers in practice I hope he stays and develops. When our bigs were in foul trouble Cisse did not get a chance against SIUE? Forrester made a lot of mistakes Cisse should have gotten a chance. I watch Kramer in practice he has a strong build a great looking 3 point shot and can dunk the ball. Kramer looks tougher than Jimerson and had a reputation of playing defense. I am not sure that Medley will be ready but Yuri is not going to get us the the big dance so I am ready for a change. If Medley does not drive into the opponents bigs and get his shot swatted away or a miss I see that is an improvement. If he stays I am looking forward to seeing what Larry Hughes can do, Larry should be playing more and should have some of Thatch’s or Jimerson’s minutes the coach says we don’t have enough athletes of course that’s BS. The way I see it next season’s team is tougher than the current 8 man rotation. I think the current 8 man rotation are good kids stuck with a coach that does not have the ability to bring them up so it will be another 20 win season that falls short of the big dance that ends the season with a puzzling NIT loss.

I understand your point and it makes sense but this would be similar to the ride Majerus gave us and I am ready to get on that ride again.

I would rather hire Chris Carrawell. Caarawell has been coaching D1 basketball since 2014 at Marquette and starting 2018 to present at Duke. I watched Carrawell play for Duke and was one of the most fundamentally sound players I ever watched. I want a coach that can teach defense, blocking out, free throw shooting and how to win and finish big games. If Carrawell was our coach he could probably convince Cory Tate to come back and both should be able to recruit area players. I am ready for someone new not a retread coach unless it’s Pitino.
