I'd like to know exactly what the player(s) are being punished for exactly. You can't just suspend a member of the basketball team and not say exactly what he did. Who is the other player that could possibly be suspended?

I just missed the news. What did they say? Have they released any names? I don't understand why you would report pretty much the same story as they did last spring and not add anything more.

If there were eyewitnesses, why weren't any charges filed? It would seem like eyewitnesses would be pretty good evidence to go ahead and file some charges. I don't know much about the student court or whatever, but I would've thought some kind of decision would have to be made soon.

That means that SLU's game with Chicago State, which had been scheduled for Jan. 3, has been moved to Feb. 22, a Tuesday in the middle of league play that comes in a week where SLU doesn't have a midweek game. Meanwhile it looks like SLU's game at Xavier on Feb. 5 will start at 11 a.m. local time, 10 a.m. St. Louis time.

I voted for SLU-natics. My friend submitted SLU-perfans. I thought that was better than a lot of the ones that made the list.

6'11 200lbs. definitely needs to add a lot of weight in the weight room. sounds like a perfect player to sit behind willie next year and then be paired up with CR or RL the year after.

Terrible call. If you're going to take the rulebook that literally, there would be a penalty on every single play.

I'll be there. Should hopefully be our first win of the season. 3 preseason ties and 0-1-1 in the regular season. does anyone know when Roach will be back? i feel like we're really missing his scoring, his playmaking, and just his threat up top.

I think we could beat Duke. But what do they have...like 80 straight OOC Home wins? its going to be tough, but I know we can do it.

How about we just beat everyone in OOC and just make sure we don't lose by 30 to Duke. It will be tough, but if we want to be a tourney team, we should be beating teams like MO St., Portland, and Georgia. Then get through conference season with 4-5 losses again and there's no way a team with 5-6 total losses from a rising A10 will get left out of the tournament.

MUST go 12-2 with this schedule. The schedule isn't good at all after Duke and Georgia. 13-1 is almost the minimum because you really need to have a quality out of conference win. Dayton over Christmas Break is just terrible, but hopefully we'll get some kind of atmosphere. I'm willing to buy tickets for my friends who go to other schools and just at least throw some bodies in the crowd and maybe they'll get into it if it's a good game. Finishing off the season with Xavier is just sweet.

i can't see who would transfer. conklin, cassity, kwamain, and willie will be seniors so they won't leave. i don't see either of the aussies leaving. i highly doubt any of the freshmen would leave and barnett wouldn't transfer again.

Change the name and the true Billiken fans will still show up. Maybe other students won't feel separated and they'll show up too. Get the excitement building up early. Start advertising the games before game day. That can take the homework excuse away a little bit because everyone knows about the game for several days leading up. Have posters or flyers around campus. The average fan doesn't always know when the games are. Have more than the big banner on Gries on game day. Spend every dollar you can and give stuff away. Have contests for free tickets on game day. I know it's tough but the leaders of the Blue Crew/whatever need to try to get the whole fan section all on one page. I'm sure bluecrewprez and many others have already thought of all these things, but I'm just throwing some ideas out there.

Mathews as a #2 RB is great. It'll be tough to count on T.O. as your #2 WR though.

I agree. I think KC will be good enough to start but he may fit better off the bench because he will be able to fit so many positions. I think we'll see a lot of different line ups thrown around early in the year. Trial and error is really the only way to do it.

So it sounded like most people were really pleased with the Duke game, but who would you rather play a home and home series with these next 2 years if we could? Duke or Mizzou?

I think he would become a better "basketball" player by playing in the Worlds, but he'd become a better college basketball player by spending as much time at SLU learning the system and stuff. I think it helps SLU. He struggled in that All Star game in the spring and I think hes gonna need more time than Cody to adjust to the game.

Ok. I agree with that 100%. The only way I would want to be in the BB would be if we could play a team like Butler, but I would think they won't be in those games anymore.

Why do you say that? Butler played in the Bracketbuster game this year.

Alright I didn't expect the schedule until around then. Yeah I figured it had to be something with the A10 because Ive never noticed an A10 team in it. It would've been nice coverage though.

When will our schedule officially be released? Also, any chance we could ever play in any of the ESPN Bracket Busters games? It would be great coverage.

I'd rather see Findley come off the bench late and use his speed to stretch the defense when it might be more tired. Dempsey seems more comfortable in the midfield and seems to be more of a playmaker there. I like Buddle up top with Altidore.
