Not sure on the tweeting thing. I believe coaches are now allowed unlimited texts and stuff to recruits (as of earlier this year) so I would think social media would be the same. I could be interpreting the rule wrong though.

Maybe this is just the negativity that comes with being a Billiken fan but I'm not loving our chances on either one of these guys. I worry about Lancona falling in love with playing the Big 12 despite the fact that it's not that good of a conference. Kind of the same thing as the Pac 12 which he originally committed to. Randy O might want to be the star of his team from day 1. I wish he had committed right after his visit or after we had the in house visit earlier this week. Get these 2 guys and it's really a pretty incredible recruiting class considering the late start on recruiting. We'll find out in a couple years just how good this class actually is, but adding these 2 makes it look pretty good on paper. It does seem like we're in the final 2 or 3 for both of these guys and that's a promising sign. I guess I've just seen too many unlucky things happen in my time as a fan. Hopefully we get them both. 50% chance we get them. 50% chance we don't if my math is correct.

Seems to me like Lancona is showing the most interest in SLU and KState judging by his retweets and who he's following on Twitter. Sounds like he'd be a really good fit. Agree with NH that'd he'd complement Agbeko really wiell.

Broad shoulders, pterodactyl-type length, huge hands, and an electrifying burst describe this outstanding combo-guard prospect. He can explode in transition and get to the rim before the defense can react. Weaknesses: Onwuasor has improved as a point guard prospect, but he needs to continue to hone his point guard skills (running an offense) and overall savvy for the game. When the game slows down, Onwuasor needs to learn to communicate to his teammates on what needs to be done on the court. Whether it's running a high screen and roll, driving hard to the paint to free up a shooter-these are the type of skills that could elevate his game. In addition, his jump shot looks fairly solid in the mid-range area, but his shot needs to get much more consistent out to 20-feet so defenses can't play off of him. Bottom Line: Onwuasor oozes upside due to his elite Division I frame. His lead guard skills (drive/kick, pick and roll, etc.) need polishing, but he is a player in the Southern California region that is definitely on the rise.

Just one opinion and we don't that ESPN isn't always right and high school evaluations don't mean everything but here's what they say about Strawberry SCOUTING REPORT ESPN Analyst Updated 03/27/2013 Strengths: He made some high-level passes in transition and his jump shot looked very smooth as well. He doesn't have elite quickness or speed, but he does have a high basketball IQ and he competes at both ends. Weaknesses: Strawberry does not possess exceptional speed or quickness for the Division I level. In addition, he needs to get stronger with the ball while being pressured and continue to evolve his point guard skills. Bottom Line: Jordan, son of former MLB standout Darryl Strawberry, has definitely taken his game to another level. He is more of a combo-guard right now, but he does have point guard intangibles.

I'll be interested to see how May/Crews handle questions about why it took so long. Surely Biondi will be at the press conference. Will they throw anyone under the bus? Doubt it. What's the alternative though? You can't say you didn't want to rush it. Makes you look like you don't care enough. You can't say other things were a priority. Makes you look really bad. Crews was only at the Final Four for about 3 or 4 days. The rest of the time he's in the area recruiting. He can tell recruits he's the coach, but it's still a disadvantage that it hasn't been announced. Going to be bad publicity either way I think. Right now it's all about the publicity for SLU if we want to get into the Big East. This is a bad start.
