  1. Returning Van Vleet will certainly help, however, Wichita State isn't nearly the team they were the last few years. They miss Tekele Cotton and Darius Carter a ton. They're still a fringe top 25 team, but I don't think they'll be able to match up with the Memphis, Indiana, Kansas, etc. type teams as well as they did in recent years.
  2. Lol. Are you kidding? That kind of stuff happens all the time. It doesn't mean the players are "fragile" emotionally. You're also making ridiculous generalizations when you say good players don't do it and good coaches don't allow it. Really? You must not watch a lot of basketball. Certain coaches may not allow that type of stuff, but they're the exception, not the rule.
  3. You're the first to ***** when we aren't successful but you don't find our history of success relevant? Make no mistake about it, you are truly a dipshit.
  4. Personally, I like this non-con schedule a lot. 1, possibly 2 tops 25 opponents. Some solid mid-majors. A game with a local D1 team. All while giving our guys a chance to come away from non-con with a good record heading into conference.
  5. At the end of the day if you don't win you aren't one of the best.
  6. True story - When I was 7 my coach told me I wasn't Magic Johnson and until I became him I should use proper fundamentals on lay ups. Was that too harsh?
  7. I think you're greatly over exaggerating. Coaches do display much more restraint during games but I don't think practice behavior has changed a ton.
  8. Re Evans: purely speculation but it's likely because he recently completed rehab for his injury. He also is close to signing with a team in Europe so that could have played a role.
  9. To be honest I'm not sure. Everyone on our end thought we had him as recently as this past week. He informed everyone of his decision a few days ago. It sucks. In regard to Barnes, I had heard we were going to offer but things changed. Ultimately the staff decided not to offer him. I don't think that would've made a difference, but who knows.
  10. Buckle your seat belts, boys and girls.
  11. I'm hearing he'll be in Spain this next season.
  12. Who gives a . How old is he, 19? Give him a break and get over. And comparing Duquesne to UCONN is one of the most dumb things I've ever seen.
  13. I'll say I would be shocked if he doesn't stay home.
  14. It's been down to SLU, Duke for a while now, as most of you already know
  15. 1.) Curry is a stud. 2.) An offer is coming for Barnes. 3.) We're going to be damn good in the 2016-2017 season.
  16. The Big 10 is going to be loaded next season
  17. I know it wasn't. Just wanted to add that.
  18. This is going to be the reality for most bigs we land.
  19. One big factor is that the basketball players are taking classes over the summer throughout their careers. Doing this speeds up the process and gives more room for error. Additionally, I would guess that many "regular" students that take more than the typical 4 years do so by choice, not necessity. Many of those same students aren't in a rush to start making money in the real world due to family support.
  20. Lol. +1.Not referring to any player in particular, but I always find it funny how fans assume the players on their favorite teams are great guys and can do nothing wrong. They're human just like you and I.
  21. I'll say yes. However, I don't have a ton of insight into Cook's preferences, and to be honest I'm not sure anyone does. I think there's a good chance he'll wait until next spring to commit somewhere.
