  1. I hope the NCAA’s new rules allow anything for the players, except Lamborghinis, which they were explicitly allowed to block. Most likely, the new Alabama players will each get a Ford Focus, and the relaxed rules will actually work against the players.
  2. Look, if things made sense Stanford, Duke, and even non-scholarship Harvard et al, would dominate college sports.
  3. With Beard, Texas could be a new Kansas, Duke, or UNC. Easy to recruit there and he is only 48.
  4. With the NBA’s rules and officiating, maybe. Under the Euro leagues rules or even college rules and officiating, I doubt it. Edit: I thought you were talking about the best team outside of the NBA. The 13 best players? What? You haven’t heard? The Dream Team loses nowadays. Regularly. They have to give it their all to have a chance. Houston would lose by 40.
  5. When you look at all of the players vying for an opportunity, it seems clear that the NBA could be put under some competition. The Tournament is a good idea, but there could be more. Just need a Billionaire, or maybe someone who can fundraiser to just go out with a plan in 60 cities, to build teams.
  6. In 2022, we will be looked back as the headliner. Historically, this will have been a very top heavy list.
  7. I disagree. You only live once. Why sit in a desk when you can be on the front line? There is some part of a career which involves actually living. I mean, when Ford retires or moves on, Stevens would make a good Billiken: the more sophisticated blue devil.
  8. That is an upscale high school gymnasium.
  9. Oh, thank goodness, this will never happen because of the strict adherence to educational priorities in college basketball! Whew, that was close.
  10. I am still not convinced that this will hurt mid majors. Keep in mind, the big programs have been able to stack talent at each position, and kids felt somewhat locked in because they had to sit out if they transferred. Now, if they don’t get the start, they can move down. A lot of players will move up, and over time it will be found that it does not work out very well for everyone and players will not move as much. I think everything will balance out, and good coaches will figure out how to move it to their advantage.
  11. That is what they said about the name Gisele, and look at how far she has gone.
  12. Jordan says “dis da real me”. He is saying, hey world, this is who I am am. He also texts a person by the name of “penny”, which is assumed by many to be Anfernee Hardaway, who went by the pseudo name ‘Penny’. Pseudo names are another way of saying nickname. In this text he tells ‘penny’ ‘Yk dat’, it is unclear from the small context what exactly is being said, however, we can deduce that he is using two letters that do not make a word. Therefore, we can reasonably guess that this is an acronym for two words which begin with Y and K. My thinking is that this means “you know”. ‘Dat ’ is commonly used in place of the word ‘that’ for a specific emphasis. Such as trying to show that you were intentionally trying to speak with a certain amount of disregard. This is commonly done to gain acceptance amongst friends or other crowds that might have a general disregard, or a general feeling of exhaustion, for using a preset or structured grammar. Therefore, it likely says “you know that”. The 100% symbol means just that, 100%, and shows that statistically his statement is undeniable in his opinion. It is the writer’s way to show authenticity. So, yeah, blue font. I have a whole lot more of this if you want it... in short though, Nesbitt makes a nice gesture. Outside of that, it has no meaning.
  13. Good for Nesbitt. Moves on, but still keeps relationships. That is an important trait in life.
  14. Footketball, the ultimate men’s sport!
  15. I have to think his average the last two years of around 15 points and 10 rebounds are noticed by the Association. Kawhi Leonard had similar averages. I am not saying that Goodwin is that good, but even if he is a poor man’s KL, then he certainly is worth a second round runner. I think Goodwin will be someone’s late pick.
  16. Not that I want to continue this subject, but if every team is switching, then wouldn’t the weave help in finding favorable matchups? Maybe we run the weave to get Goodwin/Perkins against the player that can’t guard them well? Or the same for Yuri. Which would make a lot of sense.
  17. The thing the weave could tell you is how the defense is playing you.
  18. I caught 10-20 minutes of an NBA game a few weeks back. This was a good NBA team. They ran the weave for the first 5-10 seconds every time down the floor. Maybe it isn’t such a bush league tactic.
  19. Any trips to Iceland scheduled for the coaches? Sweden? Maybe it will be Outer Mongolia this year.
  20. Thank you. None of us saw that.
  21. I am not sure how college coaching works, but every level I have heard of requires a showing of competence before you are allowed to shoot 3s by the coach. I mean, anyone can shoot them, but without permission it is a great way to become acquainted with a chair.
  22. If he had to set up a loop to show 4 3 pointers in a row, I would be worried. Also, 4 in a row is good. It is not enough to get a green light from 3 range. Does anyone know what T. Ford’s criteria is to get the green light to shoot 3’s?
  23. Winston Garland was a JUCO player, right? (For old SMSU)
  24. I thought that I read the number of transfers last year was 1,200. So, 1,600 would be high. Not crazy, but high.
