  1. Everyone realizes that we (SLU MBM’s) are the only ones looking at his player profile right now. Right? If he makes the team, then call Wizards headquarters and demand a change. Until then, try not to do anything that makes him look bad.
  2. Interesting that he is the best? You don't think Nesbitt is the best player?
  3. Well, I am fine with standing corrected.
  4. I just think he has a tougher road to the court, through Perkins, Hargrove, Thatch, Gibson, and Collins. Not to mention others. He may be the better player, but he has to learn to play within the system as well. It is a tougher climb than Goodwin had. Traore, on the other hand, was good at rebounding in prep school. Linssen is not really good at rebounding. Traore may get minutes for that reason alone. That is my theory.
  5. Elbows out is a sign of territorial dominance. They don’t give out #23 to no chump. I actually did not put Traore over Nesbitt because he is such an unknown, but I expect great things. That said, your point is accurate. Feel free to blow up Nesbitt threw the roof. I’ll back off on my doubts.
  6. One quarter of 5 star recruits fail to meet expectations at major programs in football, maybe more. I don’t know the ratings for basketball, but they probably exist. A star ranking is not a guarantee.
  7. Truthfully, I am not on the Nesbitt band wagon. I hope he proves me wrong, but I think he will need a year to align his game to college, and then he could light it up. At the very least, I think the expectations on him need to be checked.
  8. I like this, but I think it will go: Top: Perkins, Collins, Thatch, Okoro, Hargrove (the lowest of the top) Second: Gibson, Linssen, Williams Third: Nesbitt, Traore, Jones
  9. Just take away their position. Duh. Positionless. Done.
  10. https://www.instagram.com/p/CUYTWfOLOQm/?utm_medium=copy_link Traore will be a beast!
  11. Now that I say it, what dollar value do we get being in the A10 compared to other conferences. Maybe that can put to rest the idea we would ever join the MVC.
  12. Normally, it is all about money. Short-term and long-term. That is probably all it is here.
  13. Here is a new conference idea. Take all the teams in the A10 sans Fordham, GMU, and Lasalle. Add Loyola, WSU, and maybe Belmont. We can rename it: The Middle-East!
  14. Why can’t we start a new conference and bring in the teams we want. Basketball only, higher pedigree. To your question, I am biased. I would probably rather watch SLU play any MVC team than watch SLU play the bottom half of the A10. That said, it is fun to play Dayton, and without them, it would be a hard sell. I definitely feel an affiliation with VCU and whatever hot teams show up from year to year, but nothing that wouldn’t heal.
  15. We don’t have to denigrate Moberly here, I am sure it has a Walmart and a McDonald’s, it has the basis for life. If one has unlimited time, then travel for any basketball is an acceptable investment.
  16. There are still 5 spots for 2023. I doubt we even use them all. Also, maybe Traore and Lorentson look really good this year. Who knows.
  17. Redone. This is from the perspective of this year has not begun and is included in the count. My only change was to Okoro, added Traore.
  18. I think he would need a great nickname to have a shot. Any ideas? I have heard Perkilator. Not bad. I like: The Duck. I say we nail down the nickname and worry about the rest later.
  19. I think the ‘Okoro is not a 4’ argument is going to fail.
  20. Was Traore coming off the bench? If so, he put up some pretty impressive numbers as a bench player.
