  1. would I put money on it? NO WAY. But every year it seems some lesser team makes it to the elite 8 or final 4. Most of the time I dont have much rooting intrest in these teams outside of my brackets. This year Ill be pulling for Xavier even though I probably wont have them in any of my brackets. thats all I was saying. No prediction just hope
  2. that was correct when you posted it and is still correct now. However, I hope from here on out they play as though they are invincible. I would love to see Xavier in the final 4.
  3. whoa whoa whoa. Hold on there buddy, nobody can stop the hilltoppers I dont really mean that, I just get a kick out of that goffy red grimus and take every oppurtunity I can find to post a picture of him
  4. I really do. And I hope thinking that doesnt make it look like Im taking away from the importance TL, KL, and BE were to this team, because without them we would not of been playing today and probably not even be above 500. I just think that RM style is so system oriented that when he recruits he gets guys he knows can play his syle of basekball. And when his system is run right it is very hard to beat. I think with a year under their belts the freshman will make huge improvements next year and some of the new guys appear to be ready to step in. I may be looking at this overly optimistic but not out of the question. Will they be in the NCAA tourney? Not likely but I think one of the three lesser tournaments is a very realistic goal.
  5. hopefully its after next year. Ive always wanted to go to Australia, and in 2 years I could be ready to walk onto the team. I hear many college teams would love to have a 31 year old 5 foot 11 180 lb slow poor shooting jump shooter on their team. I still have four years of eligibility so maybe I have a chacne
  6. I think TLIII lack of shooting down the stretch was a combination of RM asking him to do more play making, and Liddel taking a liking to playing a point forward position. Im sure he had the green light to take open shots but I think in his mind he could do more by dishing off this gave him an oppurtunity to drive and create and he didnt have to settle for 12 foot jumpers. Id also like to see if TLIII Offensive rebounds increased when he was taking less shots. I may be way off here but it seems to me that when he would drive in dish he would be in a better position for rebounds. I dont know if the stats back this up, and maybe its just me making excuses for TL and wanting to see something that wasnt actually there.
  7. even more so than the experience standpoint I would like the CMI or CIT for selfish reason. Im not ready to stop watching this team play yet. It had its ups and downs but this was the most exciting season for the Bills in along time. As for todays game, If Xaiever doesnt hit that three at the end of the half I think the hole game ends up different. That just toatlly deflated the already tired Bills. The back to back games just killed Mitchell. But that is something he will be able to handle better next year. Its a shame TLIII KL and BE go down like this to end a great carear but what they did at SLU hopefully started a changing of slu Athletics. I was impressed with Lisch today, some of his shots werent falling but midway through the 2nd I think he told himself, he was the guy that was going to get them back in the game. He tried to take over but its hard against a team like Xavier. they are on the right path. Mitchell is a bigtime D1 pg, Reed is only going to get better, Conklin had a good year and as big as he is will only get stronger. Hopefully Cassity can learn to create some shots over the summer and Thompson keeps developing. With the incoming Freshman and the returning players developing I will GUARNTEE they will be playing past ST Pattys day next year. Thats right, Im giving the dlarry guarntee, I dont give those out very often, and honestly they dont mean much but its a start. GO BILLS
  8. take the sure thing. You could always find out if you could watch it at your place and leave your dads at halftime and not miss anything
  9. Honestly I kind of like hearing what MU fans have to say. Its amazing to me the way they look at SLU. Its as if they are talking about a DII team. The MU fan's arrogance, stupidity, and short term memory is intresting to me. I know thats this does not apply to all MU fans but it does fit a lot of them, especially the more vocal ones. However, some of my best friends are MU grads and almost all of them have gone to SLU games with me and root for SLU as their 1A team
  10. So does that mean since Im in stl with charter Im srewed unless I want to go to a sportsbar and get drunk at 11AM Would sports bars even have those channels?
  11. What the hell is up with the way that board is styled? it is quite the pain in the ass to read
  12. Not sure. Im just hopeing I dont have to "watch" the game on the radio like I did today. Im not a big fan of sports on the radio unless its baseball
  13. Thanks. I was just curious and would think these top teams would be right there with some BCS's leagues in attendance
  14. The CBI started last year correct? Is this the first year for the CIT? Would these tournaments possibley look at playing in a new arena with a nationally known coach as reason to possibly pass up more deserving teams on paper?
  15. Ive always been a big BE fan. He's a good role player that is needed to win. It was always amazing to me to hear the people seated around me trash this guy. And it wasnt the come to one game a year crowd, it was fans who were at every game like myself. I think people just expected more for some reason. It was nice to hear later in the year people give him some credit for the work he does.
  16. I think you should recomend a class project. Have them watch the game and they can keep track of stats. You could say you are teaching them math
  17. RM reminds me of Gene Hackmans character in Hoosiers. Hackman says "well im going to break them down and build them back up." I think thats how RM does things. Does it work for everyone? No. But if players buy into it they are going to come out of the program better at basketball and better people
  18. That run was something else. I just hope if they get passed Xavier they dont follow it up with a dud. I dont think I could handle the ups and downs emotionally of beating Xavier then coming out flat
  19. thats one thing I hope Conklin develops, or is allowed to shoot next years. Meyer was great at hitting that 10-15 foot baseline jumper. That seems like an easy thing to do but when its working the offense really opens up
  20. Id take KL for around the world I bet he would run the table. TLIII for horse I have a feeling he could hit some circus shots. BUt I think I would want to get WR or BT in my 3 on 3 game. I dont know to many people I would be playing against that could cover guys that tall>
  21. I dont know you but you sound like the smartest man alive. you sir are a gentleman and a schoolar
  22. thats one way. you could also try working hard, but that sucks or you could sleep with the bosses daughter. this may seem good at the time but could backfire later. So your best bet is to skip work and watch the game
  23. tell the boss whats up. you "um Im not going to be able to make it in today" Boss"why not" You "Im going to drink beer and watch the SLU game" Boss"Oh that sounds good, why dont you just take the rest of the week off and when you come back Monday we will promote you." You "thanks boss" thats exactly how I see it working out. Seems like a pretty good deal to me
