  1. This is what’s really important. There’s not gonna be that drop off like last year when Hasahn picks up two fouls.
  2. Especially if Carte’are handles the ball as well as I think he can. I think he will play some 3/wing for very short stretches to start.
  3. I definitely think this group could put on the best dunk contest of any Bills team in my lifetime*. Knollmeyer team excluded of course.
  4. They tweeted at Carte’are a while back asking if he wanted to be interviewed for a piece. I don’t know if he ever responded, but I’d assume not if they didn’t do one. Not that I’m trying to defend A10Talk. I don’t think they ever give us enough love until they get ripped apart on twitter for pure stupidity, such as saying Duquesne would have the best front court in the league.
  5. One more here from Lob City Productions. JGood and French on the gold team and Bess on the blue team.
  6. Santos being able to hit threes is huge if he’s able to do it somewhat consistently. Also, everyone should hop over to YouTube and leave a “like” on this video. “Lob City Productions” is run by a SLU kid and it definitely would be good to let him know what he does is appreciated. He seems fairly well connected in STL high school basketball scene, and wouldn’t be a bad person to have supporting the Bills. Also check out the previous video he posted on his channel featuring JGood and CAG, and drop a like on that one as well. Goodwin looks very in shape. And Carte’are is just a beast- and an underrated passer.
  7. I’ll be first to admit I was underwhelmed initially with the Ford hire. I wanted a young up and comer, not a Power 5 reject. I could not have been more wrong. Travis has totally revitalized this program, starting with the JGood commitment and continuing through the Hargrove commit. He’s doing an amazing job.
  8. Would love to see Yuri hop on the bandwagon.
  9. Definitely not counting on it. But judging by the fact that he’s still on scholarship, featuring in team social media, listed on roster, etc., you would like to think he will play eventually. Otherwise what is the point? hes our fifth forward at best even if healthy, so it’s not a big loss. But his shooting off the bench and ability to stretch the floor could be useful at times.
  10. Per Stu on twitter, Elliott is still not cleared to play. Kinda seems like it’s never going to happen at this point. It’s a shame.
  11. The good news is it sounds like Jacobs is probably in for this year. If we only were able to keep one of Jacobs or Pearson, I keep Jacobs every time. Dude is a player.
  12. It’s off-season, and this is a topic I haven’t seen discussed a ton on the board. I think this is the first team we’ve had in a long time that could realistically put multiple guys in the NBA. Majerus’ SLU teams were notorious for having great college players that just weren’t quite good enough for the NBA. I’d break down the candidates on this year’s team as follows: Good chance to get drafted: Goodwin, Gordon Late draft pick/ undrafted free agent type: French, Santos Good chance to at least catch on with a team for summer league: Bess, Isabell. While players potentially leaving early certainly would hurt in the short run, I think putting guys in the league would do wonders for local recruiting. If Travis gets a reputation for that, it’s game over for STL recruiting. As last season showed, things can always change quickly, so I’m not trying to get too ahead of myself here. I want to enjoy the season ahead of us. Still, it’s an interesting topic that we haven’t had to discuss over the last many years. Id be interested to read others’ opinions.
  13. He did the same with another prospect recently too. A kid retweeted a friend’s commitment and old guy posted on the board that the kid himself had committed. He doesn’t know how twitter works, so he probably shouldn’t be trashing kids based off of it.
  14. This is at least the second time you’ve done this. Please quit trashing this young man because you don’t know how the internet works.
  15. Was going to do the same poll I did last year (team leader in PPG) in the near future. Probably would do a RPG leader poll too. However, I kind of want to wait to see if Jacobs will be on the team before jinxing anything.
  16. With the Mashburn comparison for CAG, I wonder if we will see him out there at the 3 at all... even for short stretches. A five of JG, TI (or JB), CAG, HF, and LS would be the best rebounding five we've ever had on the court.
  17. These days signing a letter of intent really means nothing. If you want out, you can get out. If the coach doesn’t release you, he’s automatically a d**k.
  18. Gonna play with 8 dudes again, TRavs? we have at least four scholarships open next year. We need to start filling them. Can’t take just anybody but we can’t be so picky that we get left with nothing. Hopefully Yuri is #1.
  19. Hasahn will be wearing #11 this year. Thatch wearing #20. And Welmer definitely appears to be on the roster. All this per the team’s instagram.
  20. Believe you are correct... he could be expected to sign in the early period his senior year, which is this coming season. If he thinks his stock will continue to rise, he could theoretically wait until the late period, in which case a successful season could help, if we are still in the running. More likely, a successful season this coming year will start to really impact recruiting for the 2020 class.
  21. How confident is the staff with Liddell? Do they think we have a legit chance?
  22. Jesus Christ. They wouldn’t have featured him in a move in video if he wasn’t going to play here.
