  1. Technically he did not graduate in the spring but was allowed to walk across the stage which is not unheard of. He was in class during the summer finishing up his degree during the time we were recruiting him. Whether he finished or not I do not know, but I would assume he did. BTW, everyone on here is way overestimating how much money someone with his credentials is worth in the NIL market. I have no information but I wouldn’t be shocked to see him back at Memphis because I don’t think he ever wanted to leave. I think Penny recruited over him and needed his scholarship. If one were to open up he may end up back there.
  2. We are no longer recruiting Dandridge and haven’t been for quite awhile.
  3. Thank you Roy, but if you reread my post you will notice that I purposely did not say that everyone would be happy. I said that TRUE Billiken fans will be. I am convinced that there is an element on here that do not really root for the Billikens and their postings here on this Board keep me from posting more often. There are some people here that absolutely hate Chris May and/or Travis so much that I don't think anything will please them.
  4. All of you negative Nellies are going to be quite disappointed when the new assistant coach is announced in the next few days, The true Billiken fan is going to be pretty happy.
  5. Thank you for the compliment Brian. I do not know for sure about the NIL roll out, but I think we can rest assured that the same athletic director that finally got chartered flights approved and raises the funds for them, raised $1 million for new locker rooms, is currently building the O'Laughlin Center, has built the new soccer locker rooms and is now working trying to get another big project off the ground is on top of the NIL situation. To agree with my long time friend, Willie, Chris May is the best athletic director at SLU since the 1960's when he and I were in school. Chris will find a way to get the NIL up and started and make it work for us. Unfortunately that means raising more money and you can only go to the same people so many times.
  6. 100% agree on both matters. I watched last nights game with the sound off and listened to Bob and Earl. Bob is a long time friend of mine. However, I remarked to my wife last night that people only listening on the radio get a totally different idea of what is happening on the court than what reality is happening. It's really not fair to the listening audience.
  7. Jordair was an Al Jensen recruit. In fact he had to talk Rick into taking him because of his high school grades. Remember, he had to go the prep school route.
  8. I have the Direct TV Sports package and I show it being on Channel 659 at 8:00 ET. Just got your numbers juxtaposed a little. That channel is viewable right now with the Rich Eisen channel on, so it should work tonight.
  9. I think the other big was Aaron Williams. They were really good.
  10. That is not what I said. I said it is a possibility. This is why I rarely post here. There is one kid who wants a release and one who hasn't qualified--yet. Travis has not advised anybody to leave.
  11. Thanks Rich. I am not a spokesman for SLU. It is up to them to make an official announcement. However, I am sure about one signee asking for a release. There is another who may or may not make it here. But if we analyze things with an open mind, this weekend is a big gain for the Bills. We just signed two very good players and will have their scholarships to use again next year and try to recruit over the one or two players that may not or do not show up this year.
  12. i have already said too much and am signing out. You have unrealistic expectations.
  13. They ask out of their LOI and it is granted. You don't have to grant it, but if there is a reasonable explanation and you want to recruit in that area again you better grant it.
  14. Wiley was a big time recruit out of high school but had knee surgery one year and had a concussion and missed time this, past year. His reputation is that is he is a very good long range shooter.
  15. One of the freshmen signees is not coming--it's not Gordon.
  16. It's not Wellmer. One of the incoming freshmen is not going to be here--and no, It's not Gordon. There also is another one that may not be enrolling. That one is not certain yet.
  17. That basically is what it comes down to JMM. If we are recruiting against the likes of Penn St and Wichita for players like Rhoden you can bet that he will be comparing facilities. And don't forget the place down in Columbia Mo for all of the local recruits. We have to be competitive. It is the cost of doing business. Granted 4 million is a bit much, but we don't have a T Boone
  18. Thanks SLU Lax. I think we are all upset and some of us short tempered because of the latest incident. Me included. If you think about it, the Willie/Kwamain situation probably cost us an NCAA birth and the money that goes with it. It also makes it easier for CHRIS May to go to prospective donors to raise money. There was no logical reason for CHRIS to intentionally not defend those players. Remember that situation--the female acuser's parents were supposedly connected with Cook, as in The Cook Business School. With Fr. Biondi, money talked and CHRIS was going to lose that battle. As far as the current situation I know that the current Chairman of our Board, and CHRIS are on each other's speed dial and I am sure they have been working on this problem together. It appears that our players have very good representation and now let's hope the facts prove them to be innocent and maybe this thing can go away.
  19. Thanks for the compliment and I don't know anyone in Baltimore. Do we know each other from earlier years?
