  1. The big rumor around West Pine is that recently fired Tennessee head coach Rod Delmonico will be Hughes' successor to lead the Billiken Nine in 2008. That would be a huge boost to the program, as Delmonico led the Vols to Omaha three times in his tenure. Delmonico posted a 699-396 overall record in 18 seasons at Tennessee, including a 263-255 mark in regular-season SEC play. (From UTSport.com)

Gorgeous doesn't even come close to describing the only reason worth watching ESPN anymore.
  3. I wish Dave Barry would cover St. Louis sports instead of Weekend at Bernie's. When that guy is on T.V., it looks like his bobble of a head is the only thing that's moving. It's like watching a snowman get head.
  4. I think the Pat Patriot and Willem Defoe is classic. "Maybe he was crushed by two huge freaking guys." -Boondock Saints http://ruthlessreviews.com/pics5/boondock3.jpg
  5. He was at Joe Biacardi's later on in the day feasting on the out-dated Soderberg Salad.
  6. During the U.S. National Team's rout of the PRC the other day, ESPN showed Sorbs a bunch of time. He is Bradley's top assistant on the National Team, and his presence with U.S. Soccer is a huge recruiting tool for the Billikens. I'm looking forward to this fall. I'm sure he'll bring some good training methods and plays back to the pitch at the Herm this fall.
  7. Well, since no one is posting, I'll post a little bit of info: Saw Angres at Jimmy John's on FoPa today. Ordered what every D-I coach wants -- a Gargantuan. Sorry, not the BryceHusak. They were out of that. Huge win for my Yanks last night. A-Rod's huge 0-2 HR off the Second Coming of Christ Papelbon might have saved the season for my boys. The baseball gods might have plagued the Yanks with the injury bug early, but that just means they'll get the Red Sox late. Gotta keep the pressure on. Go Bills. Go Yanks.
  8. Rumor has it that UF AD Jermey Foley was so distraught over Billy Barooo going to the NBA that he sought out his brother, Matt Foley, who as we all know, lives in a van down by the river. Matt was charged with getting Billy "back on the right track."
  9. Hey, a newspaper that puts "SAINT LOUIS" instead of "St. Louis" like the wonderful I'm-always-right people at the Post Dispatch. Cancel my subscription.
  10. Only an A&M kid would have a glow-in-the-dark polo shirt. ***.
  11. If Dixon was smart, he would of enlisted the help of a fellow classmate to do all his work.
  12. I always say "Mitch Cumstein" instead of Mitch Kupchak when referring to the Lake Show's General Manager. Just night putting....
  13. Just how KC used to be the Yankees farm team back in the day. Bring back Charlie O.
  14. CSTV is awful. I didn't know we have a branch in KC.
  15. Yeah, I get a daily Google News alert for the keyword "Saint Louis Billikens" and I saw that article posted about two weeks ago. I made some comment about the song "Ohio" by Neil Young. Yes, we do play @ KSU this year.
  16. Looks like The Hall is going to be having a similar problem to what SLU had, unless they hire a guy like Tommy Amaker or something: ----------------------------- Seton Hall’s days at the Meadowlands are over. The Pirates are moving to the Prudential Center, the new, 18,500-seat arena in downtown Newark that opens this fall. The building features 76 luxury suites, 2,330 club seats, 750 television monitors and many more bells and whistles. The move makes sense for The Hall because its games will now be played much closer to its campus in South Orange but 18,000 seats remains much too large an arena for a program that doesn’t regularly live in the top 20.
  17. Femi also plays the piano, just like his uncle Elton.
  18. I was just saying that SLU doesn't need local talent. We need tough kids from across the country. Do what you have to do to win, Majerus. That's all I want. Who cares if the kid is from New Zealand -- get him here. Let's get to the Tournament and tell Marquette to shove it.
  19. Right, but remember that when we play here in St. Louis that we could raise some money, and gate profits might help out. This isn't Soderberg Era anymore. Be realistic. This administration/Biondi/Majerus is going to have access to some serious money. Take advantage of it. Nike t-shirts for students, more Nike stuff in the bookstore, Nike-sponsored everything at SLU. Go Crazy Folks.
