  1. Thanks. Typo /not paying attention. I'll correct my original post.
  2. SLU target 2016 PG Nai Carlisle has committed to San Jose State. He is now officially a tool. Also, I'm sorry to say it, but former Billiken DBO (and current San Jose State assistant) Mike LePore is also a tool. Edit: Corrected San Diego State to San Jose State.
  3. FYI here is a front and back picture. Ideally the hat would be fitted with the Billiken lower on the back. However, for a giveaway that is not really feasible.
  4. Today kicks off the first of 3 "live" recruiting periods on July. See more details here. If anyone is looking to call Crews & co lazy recruiters or something, they should think again.

  6. Solid margin now. Keep voting to make sure they can't make a run. This is just the A10 portion of the voting (sort of like the regular season). I'm not sure when the "64 team coolest logo field" will be announced, but we'll have to keep an eye so we can win that as well.
  7. I know this is in jest, but faculty/staff do get a discount (a pretty good one) on season tickets: http://www.slubillikens.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=27200&ATCLID=209530126
  8. Bills got up by close to 800 votes, but poop brown has cut it to near 200. Gotta keep voting for the Bills to flush that sh*t down the toilet.
  9. You're right. My bad. I knew there was one guy who picked SLU 6th. Agreed. Rothstein is primarily an East Coast guy and seems to give Rhody an inordinate amount of attention, but he does a good job covering the A10.
  10. I could be wrong, but I believe Rothstein picked SLU to finish 6th last year. I like him, but I'm just saying his predictions aren't always great.
  11. Gotta keep voting in this thing. The poopy brown team is still winning.
  12. Tatum sometimes tweets back and forth with Roby as well. Obviously, can't hurt to have a few guys he knows on the team. Someone should tweet this article to Tatum: Data suggests top-10 prospects are virtually guaranteed to make NBADoesn't matter where you go to school as a top 10 prospect, you are basically already an NBA player. Might as well stay home. Also, when Calipari gets credit for putting so many players in the NBA. Feel free to call bullcrap because a majority of those guys were already NBAers.
  13. Bryce Husak is about the only one I can think of off the top of my head. He obviously wouldn't be considered "great". Quite a few recent near misses with Willie Reed, Rob Loe, and John Manning.
  14. Kwamain Mitchell McCall is listed at 6 feet, but I think that is probably generous. McBroom is under 6 feet.
  15. http://www.billikens.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=25459&p=411423 Pistol was ganged up on for being down on the Bills during their late season slide. Unfortunately, it seems he has gone the Roy route and stopped posting. I for one miss Pistol (and Roy). The board seems a little dead without them. Also Pistol did yeoman's work on with recruiting info and his assistance is surely needed if this Wiki is to be successful. Hopefully he comes back soon.
  16. Thanks. I tried to embed the tweet from the AD. Not sure why it is no longer showing up.

  18. http://stltoday.secondstreetapp.com/l/The-GO-List-2014/Ballot/AROUNDTOWN The Post Dispatch's GO! Magazine is doing their list of St. Louis favorites. One of the categories is "Best Mascot". Follow the link and stuff the ballot box for the Billiken.
  19. Each pick has value for the 1st 10 rounds and it all adds up to the team's overall pool that they can spend. Meaning if a team gets say a 3rd rounder to sign for less, then they can splurge on a 6th rounder. Basically it is as important as ever for teams to violate the MLB "policy" of not negotiating before the draft. Teams need to know how much it is going to take to sign a certain player so that they can draft accordingly and stay within their pool allotment to avoid penalties. It would not surprise me at all if Norwood already had a deal on the table with the Cubs going into the draft and when he was still available they looked at their other draftees and figured out they had enough money to make their deal with Norwood. For certain teams and certain picks, there may not be much negotiating because just go with the MLB slot. However, smart teams like the Cardinals use their overall pool to try to game the system by saving on certain picks and splurging on others.
  20. Checking in on the twitter pages for Norwood and Sole it seems pretty inevitable that both are going to sign. You would think these kids would be smart enough or have advisers that would tell them not to post things like that because it takes away leverage. Then again, I think despite MLB policy a lot of these deals are worked out before the draft.
  21. You may be right. Norwood has the velocity, but is generall described as "raw" and lacking a quality breaking pitch in most of the write ups I have seen. If he comes back and shows improvement with a breaking pitch, he could probably fly up the draft board. That being said, it is tough to turn down money and a shot at your dream.
