  1. Would set Bernie off. Reason number one why I am for it. This is a good example why Roundtree should have waited to commit. Things change quickly. Lets see if Lowery is even still the coach at SIU-C Roundtree is ready to enroll. I don't think RM will go after him. He has committed to SIU-C and I don't think Majerus will do anything unless Roundtree makes it known publicly that he will not be going to SIU-C.
  2. He still hasn't been at the head spot as long as Angres Thorpe was. I got to give Angres high marks for his undefeated run with the Bills.
  3. If you like it or not BH is the starting center. AK will get get back-up minutes at both the 4 and the 5.
  4. The line-up that I think will start the season. I think it will start out DP, KL, TL, BE, and BH. After RM figures out that DP can't hit the side of a barn on a regular basis in games, he will shift KL to the point, move TL to the 2, insert MR at the 3, keep BE at the 4 and keep BH at the 5.
  5. There is no doubt about that. I think what a lot of the Luke has to start people don't understand is those who feel differently don't hate Luke. It is just that we think Luke will better serve the team coming off the bench and playing different positions. This will allow RM to use him in spots that the match up really favors Luke. Just because we don't feel Luke should be in the starting five doesn't mean we don't think he will be a major contributor to the team’s success.
  6. "The Atlantic Ten had to be happy to add Rick Majerus to its coaching fraternity. The new coach of Saint Louis took over for Brad Soderberg, who I felt bad for as he got a raw deal after winning 20 games last season. Can you blame the good folks in Billiken country when a guy like Majerus is out there? Saint Louis is a great city where the blue collar people love their sports. From the Cardinals, Rams, Saint Louis college programs, their is a special feeling there. With a new arena being built, there is a renewed enthusiasm and things are looking up. Majerus has a wealth of knowledge and experience. Personally, I always felt Saint Louis would have been a great fit in the Missouri Valley Conference. Majerus will do a phenomenal job as he knows basketball inside and out. He worked in the world of television at ESPN and I know he enjoyed it, but he had that itch to return to the sidelines. He wanted to match Xs and Os with the best. It was a terrific hire by the Billikens. With all of those Italian restaurants on the Hill there, there is joy as Mr. Majerus will be a frequent visitor!" http://espn.go.com/dickvitale/070501Notes.html
  7. You find a way to talk about dunking in more than 75 percent of your posts when you talk about a player.
  8. Very important. Hell it might be the most important thing to V when he evaluates a player.
  9. 20 0f the 29 games were started with either Meyer, Newborne, or Johnson starting at the 4. 11 by Luke. Whicj backs up my point that Tommie is getting a lot of his rebounds do to under performing rebounders at the 4 spot. I am not saying Tommie is a bad rebounder, he is great. What I am saying is he is getting a lot of balls that our 4 should have already had.
  10. The starting four most of Tommie's freshman year?
  11. Part of the reason Tommie was the nation’s leading rebounding guard was because Luke wasn't getting it done.
  12. But if DP shoots like he has in the past, I think KL will be starting at the point. I see no way that TL plays the one under RM. Tommie we being doing way too much other stuff for RM to ask him to run the point too. That does not mean they won't run the offense thru Tommie. I think he will touch the ball on virtually every procession.
  13. Five boards a game is not a good total for a starting four. Glad to see the LM fans back and fighting for their scrappy kid. I tell you right now the LM fans will be the first ones calling RM an idiot this season when he doesn't start. Meyer fans are like a cult.
  14. Man take your pills buddy. Just so you know we are a vastly superior university to WKU. We are vastly superior people to you and the WKU fan base. Your mascot is nothing but a cheap Billiken wannabe.
  15. No way. I did not see the possibility of that occurring on here. Who would have seen that one coming?
  16. Still getting no love from the Tiger fans. Just as well. We were better than them last and will be better than them this year. I love, while they talk about how above us they are, how in multiple threads they keep on having to reassure themselves that they are better than us and CMA is better than RM. The last point I find really funny becuase those same posters along with a certain group of boosters led by Sunvold all wanted RM to get that job. http://www.tigerboard.com/boards/missouri-...message=4520705
  17. I almost rather hold on to the scholarship then have it go to Harrelson, next year his so deep in the area. Do you really want Harrelson taking up a spot if you can get both Thompson and Bradenberg? I didn't see him play at all during the second half of last year. Did he really improve that much? I think Nate thinks he did. If that is the case I would maybe take a flyer on the kid if Ricky doesn't have anything up his sleeve. Powell would be a great signing if he qualifies.
  18. This is a list I came up with quickly. I left some bcs teams off because I don't consider them names or they were not out the time we played them. I am sure I have left some off that I missed and probably included one or two that don't belong. 82-83 KU, Vandy, Memphis St. 83-84 KU, Oklahoma St. 84-85 Duke, Norte Dame, Georgia Tech 85-86 Georgia Tech, Duke 86-87 Memphis State, Cincinnati 87-88 Memphis State, Duke, Cincinnati 88-89 Memphis State, Iowa 89-90 Purdue 90-91 Purdue 91-92 USC 92-93 USC, UCLA 93-94 ASU, Iowa State 94-95 Iowa State, Umass 95-96 LSU 96-97 Indiana, UCLA, Vandy 97-98 Vandy, Illinois, UCLA, Syracuse, Iowa State, Arkansas 98-99 Illinois, Kansas, Washington 99-00 Alabama, Mizzou, Kansas, Washington 00-01 Washington, Mizzou, Iowa 01-02 Iowa State, Cal, Washington, Georgia Tech 02-03 Arizona, West Virginia 03-04 WVU, Arizona, Georgia Tech 04-05 Gonzaga, Iowa 05-06 Gonzaga, North Carolina, Iowa 06-07 TAMU, UNC
  19. He liked Colorado State more than any of the places you mentioned. V, I know you love all the big time schools, but it is possible somebody could really end up liking a non-bcs, non-local school. It happens all the time. Maybe he wants to study to study infectious diseases or atmospheric sciences. Colorado State is a great choice for those two fields.
  20. On this board. Some defend him like he is their son or little brother.
  21. Will have no effect on what the A-10 does. He is far off Bruno and her staff's radar.
  22. Nate it sounds like he was almost forced out with them being above the scholarship limit. Have you heard anything about that beeing the case? Looks like to me like Barry Hinson is feeling a ton of pressure this year to go to the tournament.
