Temple had an RPI of 34. They were left out. Their wins are:
Home: 135, 58, 254, 256, 281, 2, 204, 257, 273, 214, 37, 219, 239, 77
Away: 253, 77, 214, 257, 273, 83, 219
Neutral: 101, 83
1-5 vs top 25, 2-8 vs top 50, 7-8 vs top 100. 4 decent wins away from home, and 5 wins against bad teams away from home. Not incredible but should have been in over UCLA.
The RPI is flawed because 75% of the formula is what other teams do. Teams like UCLA can play 6 games against the top 18, lose all of 6 of them, end up with a decent RPI, then get invited because of their RPI. But they played Arizona really tough in the Pac 12 tourney (the committee chair seriously said this).
