  1. A really solid pickup late in the year. Anything you get right now will have its warts. At least we can stop talking about that one guy.
  2. He only has 1 year to play so the Pac movement didn't really effect him.
  3. I assume he is immediately eligible but jesus he's been at Eastern Washington, Portland, committed to Loyola Marymount, committed to Cal, and now is.... yeah. Not a great look.
  4. There’s also this regarding FSU. https://www.sportico.com/business/finance/2023/florida-state-athletics-jpmorgan-private-equity-funding-acc-1234733152/ that’s a scary proposition to bring into college athletics.
  5. Should be a pretty solid second game regardless of the outcome of the first. Wyoming was fairly bad last year and probably similar this year.
  6. The PAC10 is dead. The name may live on but it will be without the abysmal leadership they have had over the last 5+ years.
  7. The Pac is in 'its all over but the shouting' territory. The California schools screwed it up for everyone, as California is known to do. Maybe someone can buy the PAC name and rebrand like Overstock did with Bed Bath and Beyond.
  8. Congrats. That’s an excellent topic as well. Look forward to reading.
  9. Looks like the Pac12 will implode here shortly. This is probably the biggest failure in college athletics (business-wise) ever. Also - helluva job by the Big 12. A few years back, everyone assumed they were toast. They made the right hire and the Pac made the wrong hire. Weird how that happens...
  10. Considering the A10 is basically nothing, I am assuming their American deal is significantly more money.
  11. I love fuzzy fundraising math! All the cool universities are doing it. Pledge in one hand, crap in another. See which fills up first.
  12. Better than Dandridge. He just graduated over the summer so hes immediately eligible. Assuming he is looking to go back up to a P5 level, even though he saw success at MoState.
  13. You can have as many walk-ons as you want.
  14. https://burnerball.com/updates-on-two-transfers-still-available-in-the-portal/ Trilly has a new site. Should be a great CBB read. His first story is half about Dandrige and the strangeness of his recruiting. Everything about his recruitment screams “pass.”
  15. A good chunk of athletics donors at all D1 schools are non-alums. It is similar to this board - some folks are out of town alums, some folks are in town alums, and some went somewhere else/didn't go to college but became fans of the program. Jayson has the obvious connection with his dad being an alum of the program. I believe his mom still resides in STL as well.
  16. I see no problem with it. You get two top 30 NBA guys on campus. They’re rich. Maybe you can go to them and say “hey we really need ____” and get some dollars out of them. They’re prospective donors too. The players obviously love working out with them, because why wouldn’t they? Realistically an average recruit doesn’t remember where the hell Tatum spent one year or where Beal spent one year. Nor do they probably care.
  17. Foreign trips allow for earlier practices and thus an open scrimmage. The only other way would be to have an NIL collective set something up.
  18. Guess he didn’t want to GOSEETHEKIDSPLAY. The camp was probably a 50/50 proposition all along.
  19. And now it’s Friday. I’d cut bait with this dude, personally. Not worth the hassle.
