  1. Tatiana Ortiz could be headed to the Univ of Kentucky.
  2. Sorry to bust your bubble but I am at least 99% sure Father "B" had his man in place before Brad was let go. It is my bet he's a proven veteran coach and will be a big name coach. I like Cuonzo Martin a lot. He was a great defender with a good stroke for the Boilermakers on a real good Purdue team. Plus he's a East St. Louis guy......
  3. Impossible to see and cover this entire event with so many teams competing. I will try and see as many games as possible. Will anyone else be going to this tournament? See schedule below. http://www.visionsports.com/HKC/2007/brackets.html
  4. Well, love him or hate him, he was a true throwback pioneer of the game. The SLU program game is where it is today because of the efforts of Brad. Hats off to Coach Soderberg and his departing staff. Everyone should be grateful to have seen Brad coach because he’s a fine young coach. I look for bigger and better results from this guy in the future. It just didn’t work out here at SLU because of reasons other than his coaching abilities. Good luck to him and his family and I hope SLU brings in a coach that can bring us a championship
  5. I say first Loyola University Chicago, coach Jim Whitesell or then maybe Bob Marlin coach from Sam Houston State.
  6. Quest, that's a good one my friend. I am still the head scout!
  7. Just quoting what I heard. If indeed it is just a minor procedure, thats good for the kid.
  8. I love it to. This kid is going to be something special when it's all said and done.
  9. Word on the street is DB had knee surgery this past Monday and will be out 6-8 months. This is not good news coming out of the Billiken camp. Supposedly DB played this past season with a torn patella tendon in his knee and had surgery on Monday to repair it. Maybe that’s why his defense was slacking.....couldn’t move I guess. But thumbs up to Danny for gutting it out on a bum knee. This bad news also means that Anthony Mitchell from East St. Louis will see the court early and often next season. Mitchell will be needed and called on to replace DB. Strange how bad news can sometimes turn out to be good news as this is the case for Mitchell. I expect Anthony Mitchell to be star by his third year for SLU. I really like this kid.
  10. The thing that pisses me off is that this story is really true. I heard about this personally from a contact within the team office. The one thing you don't want to do is destroy Ian's confidence so I say start him tonight, we need him. After confirming this story I have sent the AD office a email to complain. The truly sad thing about this is that from what I am hearing this is nothing new coming from Brad. Brad is a a good and caring person and based on my training and years of observing this type of behavior more than likely something traumatic happened at a young age and the cycle continues. I don't care about color, religion, political views or anything but just please treat everyone on the team the same in that situation!!! What Danny Brown did shows alot about that kid. That was brave and shows his toughness. That's something I didn't think I could ever say about anyone on this team. I have been so made about this SLU team I stopped posting here. DB is my new hero. It's about time someone confronted Coach. Leaving Bennett at the hotel was dead wrong. I found out Bennett is the only player on the without a roommate and he just over slept. Chances are if he would have had a roommate this would not have happen. Haven't we all done that a time or two before. My source tells me Brad was so pissed at Danny for calling him out in front of the team he turned red hot in the face. No one had at least on this team had ever confronted Brad like that before. I have kids of my own and I wouldn't want to see one of them left behind in that situation. What if something bad would have happen to the kid. How do you explain that to the parents....All it would have taken was waiting 5-10 more minutes to wait. Good job DB standing up for your teammate and DB was right, Coach would not have left Kevin, Tommie or even Luke behind like that!!!!!!!!
  11. I agree with you all the way. Their is still time to turn this thing around if they start thinking team first and not I. Liddell is a fine looking player but he can not play defense and he dribbles to much. You have to keep the moving ahead of the defense.
  12. Like I said give DB the same rope you give everyone else.
  13. Give the other team some credit dude.
  14. Give DB the same opportunity you give everyone else. He's not the only one to turn it over today. Some of you clowns just don't get it.
  15. man what game you watching. The shots are contested. Give the guys credit. They hitting some tough shots
  16. Team defense is bad. On that last play only DB hustled back.
  17. I agree with with you on everything.
  18. >This offense is horrible. Brad needs to start hanging out in >Chicago and get some athletes if he's going to have this 1 >on 1 offense. Brown looks absolutely horrible btw. My friend what are you watching? Brown looks horrible? Hell they all look horrible. From my view at least Brown is the only one who played any type of defense in the 1st half. Even the play by play guys mention on one play he played great "D". Don't just call out one guy who comes off the bench for 5 mins. The starters and coaches are the ones who should get the blame if anyone. This team is just not athletic enough to play with the Temples, St Joes and GW when it comes money time. AD, KL, LM are just to slow. I say let DP and DB play and let them play with the same freedom as TL and KL have. It's the only way this program will succeed. Brad's game planning and style of play is just terrible. Brad's getting out coached today. He should bench him self! I am so pissed.......
  19. As usual after every defeat UB was angry and pissed! The coach along with his players are both to blame for this loss. To be a top contender you must coach and play every game like it's win or go home. A wake up call for sure.
  20. > His job is to score ... to find a reason knock the a >freshman scoring ... I don't know the exaxt number ... but >over 15 ppg during the last 7 or 8 games is ridiculous. I >don't want Kevin looking for assists. I want Kevin looking >to score. I agree DB needs to log a few more minutes, but he >needs to quit having concentration lapses. > > > Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. >Waldman Yes my friend I know KL job is to score! Believe me I want him to score and often. But darn I wish he wouldn't force so much and look for the open man more often. In the long run KL will be just fine if he learns to be more aggressive in getting his teammates involved. This will only open up more options for him. You can deny and avoid the (0) assist in 3 of the last 6 games KL has but I say it again that is just horrible. That means you are looking only to score. Even the great JJ Redick has a better assists avg than that. I agree with you about DB and his concentration lapses. But I also say the same about KL,TL,LM, and IV. They all have it. DB in the few mins he has gotten the last half of the season has been better than average.
