More important than ranking, how much has SLU improved their NCAA seed. Most brackets before this weekend had us as an 8 or 9 seed. Now that we are ranked and hot do we move up to a 6 or 7 seed? Curious to seem some Lunardi bracketology after this week on huge wins.

I think it would be a terrible idea to hire Crews. Crews didn't even want to coach not that long ago and Rick had to basically beg him to come to SLU. Crews is also old and seriously doubt he will be able to bring in any recruits. Would he coach longer then 2 or 3 years? Our team is senior and junior heavy with no impact freshman or sophomore players. We need an up and coming coach who can ride the hot streak for next year and bring in some players before we lose all our program's momentum. The head coach hire is going to be the most important decision our program may have ever faced. If we follow Rick with a hire like Soderberg after Romar we could return to mediocre that this program knows so well.

Brad made a lot of money at this school while he was here. I've learned in my life to never feel sorry for Doctors, Pro Athletes, and other rich people. Brad can go shoot some hoops at the basketball court in his house. Coaching is like every other job, you make a ton of money and a ton is asked in return. You don't perform well, you don't have a job. He'll land a new job one of these days and until then he can live of the hundreds of thousand he got to leave.

I think the move would be good but you must consider a few things. The A-10 was good before we joined it and it is now down. The MVC is now up and was previously down. This could be a trend and the same could happen to the MVC if we joined it. The A-10 can't be bad forever. I think a new conference would be a good thing for SLU, if could get Xavier and Dayton and mix with other schools. The A-10 will be nothing as long as St. Bona and Duq is in there. Our RPI takes such a hit that we need to have one of the hardest non conference schedules in America and teams aren't that willing to play SLU and when you add our new coach those chances will become even less. The A-10 is a joke with all the current teams. I have been to a few of the away games and those gyms and fans are just horrible, more like a high school game then D-1 game.

Brad is not a player's coach and very few people like him. He has no respect for people unless he knows that he can get something out of the friendship.

Ha, slubaseball is talking about the basketball team. I find that funny since the basketball team has had more wins per year then the baseball team on several occasions (point there being Basketball plays 30 games a year and baseball plays 50 games a year). I had to explain so people like Billiken_Roy won't get lost in my whitty comment.

So Grimes hangs around criminals and people who get kicked off teams and we are to believe that he has no clue that this kid is trouble. You know what your friends are up too and you know what trouble they get into. Grimes can deny this all he wants and there will never be evidence to convict him of any wrong doing but you would have to be an idiot to believe he knew nothing. My friends leave shirts, hoodies, and shoes in my care because they go to school and don't get kicked off teams or get arrested. Grimes knew of what happened, do you think he stood there while the guy had stolen clubs and didn't realize that they were stolen? Does he think his friend is Tiger Woods and walks around with golf clubs all day? Please, Grimes new what his friend was up to.

No one cares about softball at SLU or in the Midwest. I see SLU finding some one local to get some local talent to come here. SLU doesnt try and recruit good softball players from around the country so it makes no sense to get a coach from the west coast. Even if we tried, we couldnt get a top notch coach to come into SLU's situation. I've heard the softball team has 3 schollies to split up a year. SLU lives off local talent so they will hire someone local. I've heard the name Conway mentioned before. Coaches the Sluggers.

You are telling me that Grimes had no clue he had stolen credit cards in his car? That seems very funny to me. How do you let someone into your car and not notice that they have left credit cards in there? To say he had no clue is a lie. He might not have used the credit cards but he knew what was going on. You can't just throw out the 9-21 season. Players got hurt but Brad failied to connect with this team. He spent more time at games yelling at players and throwing stuff then he did trying to talk to players and understand what he had. DC was a good player if coach did anything with him. Brad doesn't understand talent and is too scared to try anything new. Dick Bennette did it this way so that means coach has to do whatever Dick did at Wisconsin. Look at Ian and Luke. Ian didn't play till Tom got hurt and Luke didn't play until JJ and V failed horribly. Polk couldn't hit a shot to save him life so he waits until the season is half over before he moves Tommie to the point. Everything that Coach does is a reaction, he never doesn anything new to try and bring energy or a new look. Why do you think he is here and not Wisconsin?

Even though LoveforVouk might say some radical things, some of the points are good. We do sometimes give coach too much credit, but he did get these players here somehow. I like the band so I don't like him making fun of that.

I'm not a Mizzou student. Mizzou is a state school yes, but who paid for their whole arena?????? A private person. SLU has had like 3 years to work on private donations for the arena and look how far we got. I remember it was going to be a new arena for a new conference. Welllooks like that will be off by a good 3 years. You also say that Mizzou is the only draw in town. SLU is the only D-1 school in a large metro area and we haven't been getting the good players even with this. We are basically the NBA team for St. Louis and we can't draw more then 8,000 for an average game. Mizzou might have a coach with questionable ways but atleast he brings in good players. Anyone of the kids on that team would be the best player SLU has. Tommie Lidell would be lucky to be top 10 as far as athletic talent. Quin may be a bad coach but he is a hell of a recruiter. I get mad cause you fans act like SLU is really good. Coach is below .500 at SLU and hasn't done much to show that he is infact a good coach at all. His glory years were as an assistant. He doesn't seem like the guy who can come in a build a program like Romar or even Spoon was. Until he gets into the NCAA he hasn't done anything. You keep saying that we need to give him more time. Keep in mind that the time he's been here, he's already earned over 1,000,000 from the University, and I say earned lightly.
