  1. Any word on this happening this year? I remember UB saying he would be in touch with MU as soon as a new coach was hired.
  2. I've always been high on JJ. He just needs the pt. Be careful posting anything positive around here, you'll get caned. Bottom Line: IV comes back, we make the tourney this year and next. He jumps somewhere, we don't make it this year and fight tooth and nail for next.
  3. If Lunardi if the opinionated one of St. Joe's two announcers then screw him. He made some raw comments about SLU that last game. I haven't forgot that and hope we beat their ass next year.
  4. It seems I remember reading that the bills are starting with a preseason tourney in Texas this year. Can anyone elaborate on this? Dates? Who's participating?
  5. Butterfield is a mid-major recruit. Anderson needs bodies for his high octane system and Daryl runs the floor well.
  6. Saw this kid play when I was watching LS. He had one of the sickest dunks I have ever seen that game. He could play too. Very, very skinny.
  7. 1st Tommie's season ending injury, Then... "Lance is a lock!" I'm tired of wasting my time reading your inside info.
  8. If Stemler signs. TL, KL, LS, JJ, IV. No LS. TL, KL, DB, JJ, IV. I like JJ either way. Probably won't happen, but i like it.
  9. JJ could be the anwser. I have said this all along. He just needs support and confidence. That means PT! He had more than 1 good game last year. He's a senior. Have a year JJ! I've seen LS play as well. We need him. Don't get me wrong, we will have a good team next year if he doesn't sign. However, he is a sweet piece to the puzzle. If his shots didn't fall at the scrimmage, big deal. One workout, sure he was nervous.
  10. JJ would be our 4 this coming year if he would have had consistant minutes last year. He played very well against NC, Zags, and Iowa. Enough said.
  11. I agree with broy on this one. LS will be much more effective as a big swingman. Man, with his quick release and ability to slash to the tin, what a back court. I would love to see this line-up. TL KL LS JJ, Obi, ?... IV Even with the ? at the 4, This line-up gets us in the dance.
  12. Billiphan, you are a complete idiot. I am nothing but positive about the Bills which is positive for the program. Quit expecting a Duke overnight. I just come to this board for some good hoops information and get blasted for stating an optimistic opinion. Class act.
  13. I took a hiatus from this site for a while and when I came back it is worse than before. We go from a 9 win season to 16-13 and all I read is we need this and we need that. I hope potential recruits don't read this board because instead of seeing something positive they see a bunch of crying. SLU has the best center in the A10 returning along with the freshman of the year and another on the all freshman team. We have good supporting athletes with potential in Obi at the 4. We all know we need a PF, but lets not run it in the ground and practically dismis our program because we haven't landed one in a couple years. Geez. How about some optimism? Things look pretty damn good for next year. And with Stemler, we haven't lost him yet. Even if we do, UB didn't drop the ball. I guarentee SLU talks to him everyday and have been for a long time. It's hard recruiting against teams who make the final four. How about something positive for a change.
  14. Not to argue, but he looked every bit of 6'8'' last night. He was close to Muse who is 6'10''.
  15. I was extremely impressed with LS last night. He could probably move right into the starting line up if his D is up to par. A sniper with some good post play. What sucks is he will reach a whole new level of exposure at hutch. Wrap him up!
  16. I was at mineral areas practice this morning. I'll agree with DeAlan's hops. The kid can sky. Take a look at Daryl Butterfield tonight. He's getting looks from UWM and a few others, but he would look good on anyones roster. He's a ripped 6'6'' that has good hops, a nice mid range jumper and plays hard. He gets more minutes that Muse. All of MAC's stats are skewed because they play 12 deep running a fresh 5 in all of the time.
  17. Tomorrow night in Belleville, SWIC plays Mineral area in a playoff game with the 2 region champs. The winner goes to the JUCO national Tourney. This will be a good test for LS. MAC runs 12 deep and they get after it. If LS can score his average I'd say he's the real deal. It will be a great game. I was at the regional final game with MAC against west plains. There were scouts from Mizzou, MO state, SEMO, and Western Illinois. Maybe more, that is just what I saw. I bet UB at this one. MAC has some serious ballers aswell.
  18. Did anyone see SLU's pride of the program segment? I was trying to catch it, but I guess I wasn't watching the right game. It probably aired early last week.
  19. I talked to a player from Mineral Area College today that played against Stemler twice this year. He said LS was the real deal scoring anyway he wanted with the 3 and posting up against big bodies. MAC is 24-4 this year spliting the 2 games with SWIC.
  20. Broy, I am very aware of how rpi ties into ncaa bids. All I was stating was if we win out it would be hard to keep us out. If the A10 is worth its salt, a 20 win team gets a solid look. Especially one that has won 8 of 10. Of course this is all speculation, but I hope we find out who is right.
  21. Uhh... again, never said anything about RPI in my post. Just said if we win our next six and lose in the A10 finals it would be hard to keep us out at 20-11.
  22. If we could win out and get 2 games in the A10 tourney it would be hard to keep us out. Granted, that's winning the next 6 games and 8 in a row total. 20-11, wishful thinking. But I'll keep thinking it until we lose.
  23. Not sure. But a conference road win should not drop it.
