-hopefully this is the last conf tourney without complete tv coverage as i would hope the new tv deal would have all of these games broadcast somewhere on a tv station that is available and via the web

nclusion of Luther Burden does bring up a fundamental mis-remembering of history (this goes along with a silly celebration of Rich Grawer a few months ago) -what did i miss about coach grawer and what is your point? -to me coach grawer deserves tons of credit for restoring slu bball as it is as my mis-remembering tells me without him we would be in sliac playing fontbonne etc, what is the real story then?

-what i heard rick say 2 things on this - 1-he will meet with all of the returning players within 3 days of the end of the season and the player will receive direction on what to work with their game on until practice starts, and 2-he will visit the incoming frosh and give them direction on what they need to work on before practice starts, same as did last year in visiting the current frosh and instructing KM on shooting. he mentioned the kids from oz and i am not sure if he said he was going there or not, he mentioned money and time but i could not hear exactly what he said

-on the first to offer topic, ryan robertson was on with frank about a month ago and said ku being first on him was important in his ultimate selection -of course every kid is different, but here is 1 example of a recruit saying it is important, but we also have examples of kids being swayed from last minute efforts, so obviously goes both ways -if getting on kids early is not important than why does rick say virtually every time in booster settings if you know the name of player get his name to us so we can get on him early?

-wow, we may not get to a bar before closing time!!!! -on monday rick explained doing it after the game as he wants the players focused on the game, makes sense to me and a little more time can be spent on it -best senior night moment i recall is for highmark and the boys after the game spoon grabbed the pa mike and said something like let's honor these guys again as classes like this don't happen very often

-that is correct

-we are not playing real good and we are hanging close -let's defend, rebound and make our shots as it seems like we are getting some good looks from bob/earl

-at least one would call it a realistic look -our history is not good, sure it is better than some, a lot worse than others but it is what it is -i am however, looking forward and i see a bright future

-i am saying imo since 3/16/2000 we have been in the darkness and i believe that we are getting closer to the light, and i think consistent light of playing in the tourney

-not wanting to look too far ahead, but in 2 seasons we should be pretty good and the following year real good, i really have no idea what to expect next year so i'll try to take it as it comes -and i plan to enjoy the ride in getting there, i will get frustrated at times i'm sure, but i think the light is very bright and our stay in the darkness is coming to an end -and in 2 yrs i'll start asking can rick find the players to replace the current frosh, but alot of time before then

-roy i wonder if your anger is directed to the right place? seriously, but i am trying to help and i know you won't take it that way (actually, i think you put me on ignore, so this is probably all for naught anyway, maybe my own therapy) -is your anger directed at kevin for attending slu? certainly not, gives you a chance to see him play which you enjoy and you will miss like someone cut off your arm -is it at frb for building the arena for kevin to only play in for one season? i don't think so, but maybe, see a later point though, perhaps a better place for it -is it with kevin for not playing in an ncaa tourney game? kevin can do so little wrong in your eyes, i think not, but this is fine, we all know your objectivity regarding him is limited, some of us call you out on that every now and again and you don't like that, but it is what it is -is it with rick for not getting the team to the tourney during kevin's career? possibly, you can't stand rick, so like unca said, he maybe the devil in your eyes, but i think i have a better option and we still have ac, so not over....yet -is it with rick for dropping those kids from last year? possibly, if you thought they could take kevin's team to the tourney -is it with ian for graduating? no, remember he was no good his sr season -is it with ub for not being able to follow up on the recruiting of tommie and kevin to provide the remaining pieces to the puzzle that would have been, should have been an ncaa tourney team? no - but perhaps this is where the anger should be directed, but your love for ub b/c he talked to you at bclub mtgs won't allow you to see that the halo is a bit crooked -but with the frosh we have and what we have been told of the incoming and the efforts and future classes, i think we are getting closer to the ncaa tourney, it does bite the big one that, unless lightening is caught in a bottle in ac, kevin and tommie will not know what an ncaa tournament is like -btw..i would have thought someone that loved their slu business writing instructor could fashion a response or an argument without name calling or dropping profanity, but i guess the grade in the class was never revealed....

-wow, that was one rough half -did we do anything right? -let's turn the ship around 180 degrees by starting with some fire in the first 3 minutes of the 2nd half -stb better have taken a to in the first 3 mins as we came out a different team than was there in the 1st half -somewhere we need to get some energy -i guess we left yesterday for olean? charter? heck, is there an airport in the greater olean metroplex? -is jonathan hall the cousin of al fisher? holy cow
