I think it is time for Crews to find a rotation. There is a reason that teams have a rotation and it is to give people a rhythm. I would like to see a 9 man rotation. With that said I have absolutely no idea how Crews could do that without axing some upperclassmen. It is almost like Crews was trying to go to a 10 man rotation (leaving MR and AG on the bench) but that didnt work bc I thought both of them deserve bigger minutes. Manning needs to sit. He must be the best big in practice by a mile. McBroom needs to move to the 2 to back up Ash. Right now, we need steady players and I think that Crawford, Bartley, Reynolds and Gillman are the bench players that need to find more minutes. This is going to be very difficult to do though because there is no one who has not shined bright at least one time this season (except for Manning). The freshmen are not scared and I feel much more comfortable with one of them at PG then McBroom. I feel myself not in meltdown mode like I would be last year if this had happened (or even after Santa Clara). When expectations are low, you really can just sit back and think, we are going to have Roby, MR, MB, AG, BJ, and MY for 3 more years....that is pretty nice to think about.

I would do it on Thanksgiving. Minimal commute, regular people in their houses with family. Only downside is that if you are a police officer, the holiday is likely ruined. Watched most of the St Joes game. Why? I have no idea. A long-tenured coach like Martelli should never put on that display on National TV. It was worse than our 20 point GW game in my opinion. In the GW game you got a sense that RM was sucking the poison out of this beleaguered program and it was like a rehab patient suffering from withdrawals. But last night, St Joes came in with their A-10 first teamer and couldnt even find a shot that wasnt a contested 3. All teams get better but St Joes is staring at a really really bad season, (I am talking like 12-14 wins) if something doesnt change dramatically. A-10 not exactly storming out of the gates in the non conference like last year. A-10 needs to get at least 3 bids and right now that is up in the air.

Milik Yarbrough has been the best surprise. It shouldnt be a surprise as he had multiple Big 10 offers but for some reason it seems like whenever someone puts on a billiken uniform, the rim gets smaller and lay up percentages go down. This guy can flat out score. When is the last time a Billiken Freshman converted on a dunk as explosive as that? Never? (I am too young to reference Bonner). That dunk turned the game around and my jaw dropped when I saw it. Secondary surprise - Everyone can shoot a free throw on this team. 77% from the line is going to win a lot of games for us. The kool aid is flowing...We cannot have a let down with one of these scrub teams before WSU

I am kind of shocked...we end up winning by 13 (only after meaningless 3 at the buzzer). We will never have a game where we are tired this year. Think about that for a second.

I love this team right now. We are clearly learning as we go but ISU's upperclassmen are being basically shut down by the swarming D. And we play 19 players in a 6 min spurt so we will give that intensity to them all night.
