Crews ran off Austin McBroom and GG and we still scored 65 points a game- but our guards did most of our rebounding on long bounces off the rim. Think TFord will put players on the line, have an inbound pass play, and actually have players who contest rebounds. Bounce year or not I am excited because we won't see JC wandering around on the floor during games.

Chances IV set him up with a suggestion rather than Crews or staff? Also a real tribute to Crews selectivity that he would commit a scholarship to Hines or the Greek just because they were in the neighborhood. Too bad V time isn't active on the board he could have had Crew's attention just as easily as the recruit from Harris Stowe.

This nightmare with Crews was worse because everyone figured the AD would not let him go mid contract. We all thought Loe was soft until his senior year and we all hope Reggie can be as healthy as last year. Whatever freshmen Ford brings in should help as well. BJ is too slow But we have a history of players happy to be on team and have free scholarship. I am not suggesting Jolly does not try hard. I would say just the opposite he is frustrated as lots of players are when they go from high school to D1. I like Davel Roby but he was third best player on his high school team. He is a better shooter now because in high school his point guard looked for their center or kept the ball and shot it. Miles Reynolds has good speed but not a D1 body. I am not recommending anyone leave but I would welcome an upgrade in talent along with coaching. Hines has to go back to being a walk on and if scholarships are truly not four year I would ask Jolly to become a walk on if possible. If the other bigs don't show more willingness to rebound I feel the same about them. This team went straight down on steals and rebounding since Crews changed things. Roby and Reynolds could lead the team in steals if they stayed but that is all up to the new coach and new system. If players stay they will have to play better than they did for Crews. The bigs are going to look like malnourished pansies compared to Big 12 players Travis Ford is used to seeing. It is not acceptable to stay skinny and get pushed around. MY did not look like he was in shape. Sitting on the bench does not do that by itself if you play hard in practice
