  1. Josh Harrrellson was also at the game.
  2. Dustin will not gain another year of eligibility. You have a 5 year window in which you can play 4 years. If he plays at another D1 school, he will have to sit out another year (which would be his 3rd year ) and would only have 2 more years of eligibility, because he would have a total of 5 years at a D1 school. The only way he can have 3 more years of eligibility is if he goes to a D2 or lower school, which I think he will.
  3. I would hope Brad is smart enough not to make the same mistakes twice.
  4. Wish I could have been there. Does anyone have an idea of how many were there?
  5. I heard he is considering SIU or Missouri State.
  6. I caught the very end of the interview, anyone hear what he said?
  7. The childishness of some here is amazing... For the record, the last time I talked directly to Josh was in November, no, I don't call him every day to find out what his latest thoughts are. If someone tells me (and others) that he would love to play for SLU, why wouldn't I believe it? Can I gaurantee that Josh is coming to SLU? of course not. What the hell is your point? I've talked to Josh, and some of his coaches and passed on what I know. Do we want information on this board or not? Has Josh said somewhere that he doesn't want to come to SLU? I'm tired on the insinuations, that I am making up what I have posted on this board.
  8. Roy, quit being an ass and distorting the facts. I told you that during the summer before Harrellson's senior year, that I talked to him and he told me that he would love to play for SLU, but unfortunately had not even received so much as a letter much less a phone call from SLU. I later stated that I talked to Josh this past November at the start of his season at SWIC, he again told me that would love to play for SLU, and that he thought RM was a great guy. He also told me that it had been conveyed to him that RM had targeted him as his number 1 priority, if he became available. I am not a personal friend of the Harrellson family, and have never said that I am. Harrellson was a lock if he had been offered by Brad. That has already been established. When I last talked to Josh, he had not been offfered by any of the big boys, in fact none of them had ever seen him play. As for his family problems, they are well known by many in the St. Charles area, and I am not about to discuss them on this forum. All that I have stated, has been affirmed by Nate. Roy, for some reason has a vendetta against me, because I had the audacity to disagree with him about Harrellson's potential. I felt he could be a major contributor and Roy did not. Maybe I wasn't so stupid after all. This forum is for information, take it or leave it, that is your priority. That said, those who continue to call Josh and family fraud's, should reconsider what they are saying. Why can't we wait a few weeks for him to make a decision before we start all of the name calling?
  9. I never asked that his posts be deleted. I just don't understand why he continues to question Josh and his families integrity. What exactly is his and others point about questioning Harrellson's motive for asking for his release? The facts are the parents and the players do read this board. Ask Bt's mom. Why is it ok to insult them?
  10. So Roy, what are trying to say? Are you implying that Josh and his family are liars? Why are you so down on this kid? You would think you would be happy that a talented player is strongly considering SLU. A hypothetical for you Roy, say there was a job you always coveted and you let it be known that if an opening came up you would like to have it. Now a year and a half later that dream job became available, but just by chance another great job opened up, one you had never even considered. What would you do Roy? Would you immediately accept the original offer or would you take a little time to consider the unexpected one as well? PS Roy, as I am sure you are aware, many potential recruits and their families visit this board. Thanks for making them feel so welcomed.
  11. skip, you act like Josh just asked for his release a week ago, it was nearly a year and a half ago. Circumstances can change for the good and bad in that time. Many on this board criticized Josh for making a hasty decision when he signed with WIU, and now want to criticize him for not making a quick decision to sign with SLU. I can see why he might be a little gun shy at the moment.
  12. I think you are the naive one. I'm convinced the Bernie's article helped, why would any university want the negative publicity?
  13. First of all a lot can change in a year and secondly, he had only been released for 24 hours!!!! Don't you think he should at least meet with RM??? This is the same board that had no use for him 2 years ago and now they can't wait a short while for him to make a decision. Funny how things work out some times.
  14. I'm sure, all that he has been waiting for, is your approval. I am glad to see that you at least agree ( finally) that he is a worthy recruit.
  15. I'm sorry Roy, I thought AT was paid last year. Silly me, I thought he was the lucky assistant last year because he didn't have to go out and find another job. When you decide that you want to be a college basketball coach, then you better be used to the idea of moving alot. It comes with the territory.
  16. Roy, has never been a fan of Harrellson coming to SLU, why that is, I have no idea. Somehow he bought into the idea that if Brad didn't want him then he must not be any good. I've posted here many times that Josh wanted to be a Billiken, and it would have been a sure thing, if it were not for the puzzling decision by Brad. Josh, didn't start playing basketball until the 8th grade and never played on a big name AAU team, he was a hidden gem right under SLU's nose. I found a interesting comment from a blog of Frank Cusamano's from January of 2007 "4. If Josh Harrellson, all 6 foot 8 and 240 pounds of him destroys the coach's son?s team every time St. Charles plays St.Charles West, why wasn't he offered a scholarship? Are you telling me that that their bodies on that Billiken bench who can rebound better than Harrellson.? He's headed to Western Illinois." I'm sure Josh never dreamed that one of the nation's elite basketball programs (Kentucky) would be clamoring for his services. It will be interesting to see what happens. That said I think the Bill's have a great chance to land him.
  17. Frank Cusamano says that he has had conversations with SLU people and RM is not interested in the job.
  18. I was listening to Bernie M on the way home to day, and he took another shot at WIU. When asked about the chances of the Rams returning to Macomb for their training camp, he replied I certainly hope not. I'm not going to support them in any matter until they release Josh Harrellson from his LOI. He also said that he planned to meet with John Shaw, the president of the Rams, and tell him about the situation.
  19. Not money wise, but those coaches want to win as much as any other. Why isn't there mass changes every year?
  20. If you read your LOI it also states very plainly that it is a 1 year agreement.
  21. I'm not advocating that system, but apparently that is the rule for D1 soccer, and it seems to work ok.
  22. Nate is correct, in fact as of September in Josh's senior season, he told me that he hadn't received a call or even a letter from SLU. This is an amazing fact since Brad had the opportunity to watch him play against Kramer 3 times in his junior season , and dominated in all 3 games.
  23. Your arrogance is amazing..Tell me is there any subject that you are not the ultimate authority on? Tell me how Western Illinois "by sticking to their guns" is helping their program? All it is doing is tarnishing their reputation. As for Josh Harrellson's feelings toward Majerus, you don't have a clue because you do not know him. I have talked to him, on numerous occassions and he has reiterated that he has immense respect for RM and would love to play for him. His passion to play for SLU is well documented, and he would be here if your boy "BS" had a clue about evaluating talent. I sincerely believe that you are deliberately going out of your way to trash Harrellson, because your initial evaluation of him was that he wasn't that good.
  24. Quit trying to make more of this than there is. RM is not directly contacting Josh about playing for SLU. He has made his thoughts know to to him through his coaches (just as many other coaches have). Josh has stated in the past to others that he thinks RM is a great coach and would love to play for the Bills someday. We'll see what happens.
