This kind of crap should stop. It may be within the rules, but it is completely unethical. I hope Mr Porter was at least decent enough to share some of the money with his children. The NCAA should limit the number of assistants a team can have on staff to stop this nonsense. At the very least Mr Porter should not have received any more money than that of an entry level assistant. What will Mr Porter's duties be??? Will he even be required to go to practice????? A university full of scandal, just added to their mess.......

What a fabulous recruiting job, I guess he must have made a good impression on their mother as well. He was a high school girls basketball coach, and now he is one of the highest paid assistants in the country. This is nothing more than a bribe.

Dislike Crews all you want, but to carry that "venom" over to a player who was recruited by him is ridiculous. I've never made any definitive claims about Bishop or anyone else. Bishop has played for less than a year and a half and has had some good moments. Will he get better?????? Gee that would be a shocker for a young player to improve. I can remember many games that Lisch and Liddell played that were less than stellar when they were freshman and sophomores....I just have a hard time believing your statement that you want the "Crew's" guys to succeed, when you previously stated that you will be glad when there is "no evidence of them" ever being there.......

Things were pretty fun when Coach Majerus was here too, but that didn't seem to help you shut your mouth then either. You're the same guy who used to rail on Coach Majerus because of his supposed poor treatment of players, and all you can continue to do is disparage any one recruited by JC. For the record Roy, Bishop has averaged nearly 10 points per game in his short career, has a respectable assist to turnover ratio, and in addition is our best ft shooter.. I get sick of your phony Mr Billikens schtick, you preach all this phony loyalty crap, and then you trash our current players. You are one insecure individual. You act like anyone complimenting Bishop is somehow an insult to JG. Grow up!

This was never a question about Goodwin's ability! It was about the concept of earning a position through merit. We obviously have a lot of snowflakes on this forum. I hope we never bring in 6 highly regarded recruits at the same time. What a dilemma for our coach.......

Jordan Goodwin is a talented player, but he is a 4 star not a 5 star recruit. He is most certainly not a one and done player. He's also an athlete coming off of a serious injury. Jordan's success has primarily come from dominating in the paint, his perimeter game is very suspect at this time. There is definitely going to be an adjustment period for him going up against much bigger and quicker interior players. That said you certainly have a right to your opinion, but why is it so difficult for you to accept that others have that right as well?

How can you say he doesn't have to prove himself when he hasn't played one game for the Bills???????????? did you actually read my reply? I agree 100% that Goodwin will likely be the starter. Now understand this, if he is the starter, it will because he earns it. You were implying that he will be the starter regardless of his performance. I think that is insulting to the coach, if you think that he will start Goodwin if he has not earned the job. I have no problem at all with a freshman starting if he has earned the job. You on the other hand feel he is entitled to the job just because he was a high level commit. I can't see why you would disagree with what I said.

He's not going to sit on the bench because he is talented! You are insulting our Coach when you state that the amount of Goodwin's playing time is not dependent on his performance. He would also lose the the respect of the entire roster and coaching staff if he intentionally played Goodwin over a more deserving player. It's amazing how little regard you apparently have for our head coach. As I said earlier, it's a moot point, because I fully expect Jordan to earn his playing time, but Jordan will not be running the team! I'm also amazed at your comment that Jordan" has already done his part". His job is far from being over. I expect him to be a good student, and a leader off an on the court. When he does that, then he will have done his part.

You need to calm down. I'm glad that you support the Bills, but I don't appreciate obnoxious behavior. It's fine to have an opinion but learn to respect others as well. Coach Ford has never promised anyone that he will be a starter. Now did he tell Jordan Goodwin that he expects him to be a starter, probably did, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have to earn the spot. As for Bishop, he has clearly had some good moments, and for some one to infer that he doesn't have the potential to be a valuable player for our team is ridiculous. It seems like you are extremely insecure. Just because someone has a different opinion than yours (and that's all it is) is no reason to insult and disparage them. Relax and enjoy the season.
