  1. I wasn't thrilled with service. At the Domino's stand at 108, there were only three cashiers open. It took nearly all of halftime to stand in line and get two beers. Previously, there were at least five, and it took no more than 5 minutes.
  2. I saw you and your "crew" flashing the finger at the refs in the second half on the jumbotron. Thanks for getting Section 108 permanently banned from the cameraman. Although, I'm not opposed to this for the dreaded Smooch Cam. CORRECTION: Kiss Cam.
  3. What an annoying first half. I like that Ramsay is just as pissed as we are.
  4. Remember when Soderberg would yell "Baseline! Baseline!" every time JJ let his man drive? With a patented two-right-foot stomp? My wife and I were talking about that tonight. We had seats on the "Baseline!" and would call it every time. Funny memories. Don't know why we thought of that tonight, but it gave us both a laugh.
  5. Has anyone else received an email confirmation when renewing their season tickets from: [email protected] ? Either I was scammed via the renewal site or the athletic department is inept. May be both.
  6. I just renewed online. Confusing, until I read the board here. So thanks to those who clarified a few things. The $5 processing fee threw me off because the email said we'd save $5. Didn't know it was a $10 processing fee because the email didn't say. Also, the "wear and tear" fee of $3 . . . that's the stupidest fee I've ever come across. Hell, call it a "building maintenance fee" or something. Oh wait, nevermind that I said that. We may see it on our bill next year . . . I hate ticket fees. It's mid-July and I'm getting excited to renew and start thinking about the season and then I get annoyed at extra fees and trying to figure it all out.
  7. I don't know if Xavier fans travel well, but seeing the highlights of today's game, it looked like there were 57 people in attendance. Neutral floor, noon start, a high school-sized crowd . . . reminds me of the 2000 CUSA setup . . . as Joaquin Andujar would say, "jooneverno"
  8. 12 hours to tip. Let's get some chatter out there. Bills win in a squeaker, getting me two steps closer to Miami for the first and second rounds next Thursday. Go Billikens!
  9. Turnovers and shoddy D with the lead did us in. Damn. Let's finish out strong on Saturday before A-City.
  10. upi 7 with 4 to go. Got to close those out. Shouldn't be surprised though. Common problem this year.
  11. why would we foul him?!?!?!?!
  12. got to get Kevin the ball here.
  13. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lRtUv97YFco...feature=related Part of the plan should be to find the people who aren't wearing blue and approach them like this.
  14. Rick the Caller just ensured Tommie gets 20 shots on Wednesday.
  15. I embellished that a bit, but he did stop his thought to direct pizza orders for the fans on site.
  16. This is hilarious. First time I've been able to listen. It's like an SNL skit. The best was one he stopped the server in the middle of a sentence and said something like, "NO! The sausage, mushroom and pepper pizza goes here."
  17. I think they should schedule a game for the Friday night before Mardi Gras. A lot of recent grads come back to St. Louis for Mardi Gras and SLU could package the game as sort of a homecoming game, a yearly tradition. And by having on Friday, you avoid the parade/festivities/people too hammered to show up at the game conflict and allow students/recent grads to attend the game.
  18. the free link is a pleasant Saturday night treat. thanks for the heads up/
  19. Considering two of our available players are one center who gets winded after three minutes and one forward who has a permanent residence in Majerus' doghouse, I would say that gameplan may be only chance. Unless Majerus installed the Princeton offense in the past three days so that all of guards play. That and some sort of zone to conserve a bit of energy. Obviously, I want the Bills to win, but I'm thinking Dayton in a blowout. 65-43.
  20. I know they aren't for the public to view, but the SID's office has some of them. They're pretty cool. I worked in the office back in school. Most players from the 40s and 50s have a file. Some great photos. The basketball programs are cool too, some old ones from the Sugar Bowl Classics. I missed some of the halftime events, so this may have been covered: The Bills use to play at Walsh Stadium, which I think used to be near the U. High, right around where the Kingshighway-Oakland interchange is. Capacity was around 10,000. I think they were able to steal one or two from Faurot's Mizzou teams back in the 40s . . . I know this may cause the obligatory rip post on the athletic dept to do many other things they aren't currently doing, but it'd be neat if the athletic department could scan those programs and upload to the Web. Definitely would be nice to have the entire archives of football and basketball scores up.
  21. Right on. Sounds like everyone is off tonight. I'm listening on the radio, but it sounds like they were hitting everything early on, and our shots were "in and out" according to Rammer. Just a sucky night. Try to finish it out, get home, and worry about Richmond on Sunday afternoon.
  22. We should never hear "Thompson for three." This is unacceptable
