Anyone have any reports on how TL played in these games?

The Flyers came in 97th, a possible NIT invitee. That's Temple, St.Joes, and Dayton ranked in the top 144. No sign of SLU yet. Any guesses where we're gonna fall in this preview? I'm thinking in the 70's.

giving props to UMASS. A big front line, 7' and 6'9" PF with other talent showing up this year. Going to be interesting to see who is picked as the preseason winner....my guess is X. I would figure us for 2nd or 3rd preseason.

Confused about this kid. V-time said we should get him. Of course what area kid does he say we shouldn't offer? Pdiddy agrees w/ him. I seem to recall that others, tseug and 3star come to mind, although I may be wrong there, that he's not a D1 type talent. If Pdiddy says ok that seems a solid endorsement....what's the scoop on this kid...to offer or not to offer?

How can you expect much from a kid who hasn't played any competitive bball in over two years? A D1 game is a hell of a lot more intense than pickups at WP or practice scrimmages. That said, I hope he calls on the force, even if it's the darkside, and averages a double double for the season.

looks like a five horse race. You read the CHP preview and two powerhouses are ranked in the hundred+ category, St. Joes and Temple. Got to figure some teams didn't make the top 144, Duquense and St. B's come to mind...possibly Fordham. So does that leave it up to X, Dayton, UMass, SLU, Charlotte (not necessarily in that order) to slug it out? GWU is somewhat depleted and shouldn't be the force they have been. With our out of conference schedule upgraded, say we go 8-6 ooc and 12-4 in A-10 play...is 20-10 good enough for an invite? A couple of wins in the tourney we're looking at 22-11. Or do we absolutely need to beat one of the ranked teams, SIU, TXAM, UNC? Barring a critical injury to any of the big 3, IV/TL/KL, this record is very doable. If no invite, then the A-10 is not the conference we all thought it was.

First, NIT stands for "not in tournament". It's hard to get too excited about it, but at least we might get a chance to see St. Louis on TV nationwide....a chance...no guarantee. But let's hope this team is NCAA bound. If not, then go NIT. If we don't make at least this, whether it be 8, 16, 32 or 40 teams....UB must go....

I think I understand what you're saying...but I'd bet the farm we ain't making the top 40 on anyone's preview. By the way...ESPN has started their conference previews. I think A-10 is soon to be out.
