Hinson at SMS/Missouri State has had some good sound bites. He's kind of like Spoon's Mini-Me.

Would comparing Lisch to Reddick be a fair comparison to make? Having never seen Lisch play, it would be good to have a point of reference.

That is pretty slick. Will the Bills continue to practice at West Pine when the arena is complete?

Hi Rob, Chris Manshio and I have been discussing the idea of taking up a collection to purchase an arena brick in the name of Theta Iota. Do you think this would be a good idea? If we can just get 20 people to contribute $25, we'd have enough. Hope you're doing well, Brian

That is good news - thanks!

I agree, although I am a big fan of Raftery's ramblings, as you may guess from my signature line.

Good post. Remember a couple of years ago when we beat West Virginia? Even though we won, it was clear that they had a ton of young players who would be contributors as they got more experience, and that has proven to be the case. Getting a guy like Gansey to transfer from St. Weldaventure certainly helps too.

Has everyone completely given up on Newborne?

Any other current SLU Coaches on the Chopping Block?

Good idea. Hughes must have incriminating photos of someone - it amazes me that he's been around as long as he has. -
1994 Billikens on Channel 4 Last Night

Hopefully, you guys knew that "Balls" was a sports bar before you went there! -
The 24 web site should also provide you with enough info to get caught up. It's kind of late in the game though - you'd be better off renting the DVDs. It's definitely worth it!

Bauman is right - Peterson was one of the candidates we considered when Romar was hired, but I'm pretty sure we didn't offer him the job.

What a high school scoring line....

Is that the kid who's headed to UMSL? -
Hasn't a 2 only beaten a 15 like 2-3 times?

Did anyone see the end of Steve Savard's Sports Final last night? They did a flashback segment featuring the 1994 team, showing our boys getting together to watch the NCAA selection show. Ah, the good old days. I believe they said that 52 teams were selected before the Bills found out they were going to play Maryland. I think most of us were pretty confident that we'd be dancing though. I remember very little of the Maryland game - it was played early on St. Patrick's Day, and a freshman Box and Won and a group of friends skipped class and arrived at Humphrey's at around 7:30 a.m. to get a table by the big screen. By the time the game started, Box was feeling no pain, and the second half was quite a blur. Nothing like stumbling out onto Laclede Avenue at 12:30 in the afternoon, drunk on green beer. Memories...like the corners of my mind...

I think McLaughlin also mentioned that SIUC has already offered Ben H. a scholarship.

The metro area might be a lot bigger than it was when you lived here!

Is there hope for Husak? I thought he looked totally clueless out there the other night.
-
Of course they'll get a bid - they finished 19-11.

With all the talk of developing a Gonzaga-like program, perhaps our real role model should be Creighton. I think they said that this year will be CU's sixth consecutive NCAA appearance.

Coach said on the post-game radio show that DP spent hours practicing his free throws after the Memphis game - it definitely paid off!!
-
He can really shoot the lights out. The outcome of that game was unfortunate - I was hoping that the 2005 CUSA champs would be heading to the A10 with us!
-
We definitely could use a coach with implants. I might actually go to the women's games if they landed that broad. I say, sign her up!

It would be nice, but they're still tough, even without Diener. They beat Houston by 21 the other night, and that's a team that beat us by 20. I would just like to see Brad get a win in Milwaukee in front of his dad and the rest of his family. It would definitely be a great way to leave CUSA.
