If we play a preseason game with a local team wouldn't the current D-III national champions at Washington U. be the most attractive opponent? Some on the board may remember that we opened the refurbished Francis Field House against the "Battling Bears." It was Monroe and Roland's first game as Billikens. No slam on Harris Stowe or U.M.S.L. but Wash U. has a much better tradition then either of them.

Nate, is there still a chance to grab anyone else as either a transfer from another school or a player for this year?

Does anyone have an idea when the schedule will in fact be announced? This piecing it together is great mental exercise but it has begun to get tedious.

Thicks, Niemann was a star for Bishop Dubourg. His wife is Julie Niemann the financial expert that you see on various television stations. I think Rich coached the Billiken woman's team in some capacity for awhile. Possibly with John O"Brien. It's also amazing to see how many points Kevin Footes scored in so little playing time. He had a world of talent but was a huge knucklehead.

According to the M.S.U. schedule printed in the Post-Dispatch the Bills and M.S.U. will not be playing this season.

If you look at the grid SluSignGuy linked to on the Dayton board it looks as if we'll have a home and home with Richmond.

According to the Dayton message board here are some of our conference opponents. Home St. Joseph UMASS Charlotte Duq. Away Rhode Island Xavier St. Bonaventure Duq. I know it's not much but it is more then we're getting from SLU.

According to some of the A-10 message boards we'll have the Dukes home and home next year.

Loras is a Catholic liberal arts school that id D-III.

Why doesn't SLU let us know who we will be playing on a home and home? During these days it would sure make a more interesting subject than what we've had to talk about.

The coverage the PD gave this game is a disgrace. It was nothing but a Rah-Rah Mizzou article. If it wasn't for this sight you would have no idea what went on. Of course the rest of the sports page is a huge joke. I was recently in the Tampa area and both the Tampa Tribune and St Petersburg Times blow the PD away and they cost less then half as much for a daily edition.

I forgot to mention that John, Mitchell, Thompson and Reed were working out on the practice floor. They were playing two on two and Femi's shot looked good. He hit shots with Mitchell right on top of him.

I picked out my seats at 6:14 and was done by 6:30. I think the people running this did a great job. I had applied for gold seats and ended up with red that are an aisle and two seats away form the gold. They way I look at it I saved myself $500. There were still good seats in the 200 level between the end lines when I left. I'm insection 102 row T the third and fourth seats in. There were no Yow finger prints on this operation.

Avis Meyer was the best instructor I had at any level of education and I wish him well in this crisis. The University should be honored to have an instructor of his ablilty and character.
