  1. He was charged with rape. Just because the prosecution didn't have the evidence to prove it doesn't mean he didn't rape her.
  2. Spring recruiting doesn't really end. While a kid can't sign a binding letter of intent there is nothing to keep a kid from enrolling in school and showing up in August. I can't remember who but we recently had a player who verballed after the official signing period and just showed up. They can still apply for admittance.
  3. I think the reason everybody dropped is the Billiken Club increased their universe. I don't know the details but I think sponsors like Lou Fusz got swapped out Billiken Club points for their contributions in kind. I f he was giving 2 cars to the athletic dept for their use he got points etc. In the long run it doesn't make any difference if sponsors are included in the Billiken Club or they hold out prime seats to begin with.
  4. Also the tour of the H&B baseball factory is very good.
  5. That would be hard to do with only 4 players. Summer tours can only use existing players not players coming in.
  6. As someone stated above Claiborne has had no love for SLU since he was dropped from the SLU broadcast many years ago. As a little background Claibs.was just a guy who hung around West Pine in the eary Grawer years. He became something of a go- for around the program. Somehow got the gig as the play by play radio man. Became friends with Bonner and delivered Bonner and himself to agent Jim Steiner. Somehow became agent for an all pro Dallas lineman[name excapes me]. Parlays all of this into a radio job with the newly founded sports radio industry. Somehow gets a reputation as a sports guru. To me he fits the mode of if you act like you know what your doing people people beleive you do. Most of the time I think he's full of crap.In any event he has no appreciation from where he got his start.
  7. I'm pretty sure that AT knew from day one that his job was for one year.
  8. I didn't think the sound was very good but I thought it was better that Scott. I could never understand anything the on floor promotion people were yelling at Scott.
  9. You will be assigned a day to pick your tickets accourding to your points in the Billiken Club point system.
  10. I know it's very early and a regular menu might not be in place but I thought their concession offerings were pretty spartan. Dogs-nachos-popcorn-pretzels-beer- soda. Maybe they should hire Joe Bonwich so we can get something fitting for the best building in town.
  11. Per. Forbes Magazine Jack Taylor and family are worth 13.9 billion
  12. 14b is why I said he could have given more.
  13. Hey I'm thankfull for the mil,but as you pointed out he has given much more to other St. Louis institutions. He could have given more.
  14. The wealthiest man in St. Louis. Gave 1 million to the arena, should have given more.
  15. Whats done is done and it's kind of silly to argue about it but there is no reason we can't recapure the Spoon days. St. Louis like every city loves a winner. If Rick wins enough you won't be able to buy a ticket. Cardinal attendance is down because of the perception is that the team will be down and management doesn't really care. Start winning and the place will fill up again. Setting our size at 10,600 is like selling a stock when the market is down. There will be better days ahead and we won't be able to capture those dollars.
  16. I agree with adman.I believe that Chery and Brad both wanted a smaller building. Brad wanted a pit on the lines of Gonzaga. Cheryl was worried about her budget and being able to pay for a practice facility. Their flaw was they weren't here for the Spoon days. They could not invision what 19,000 fan could mean. Let's hope that Rick will create a program that the administration will regret their decision to go small,
  17. Next time Bernie says something bad about the Billikens we all need to take a deap breath and say to ourselves that we owed him one.
  18. It's my understanding that there is not going to be a banquet. It seems RM doesn't like them.
  19. When I got a tour of the Fetz several months ago Mark Wright said that an upgrade of the baseball facilities is next on the agenda. I think they are pretty serious about upgradeing all sports.
  20. Ken I'm pretty sure he died a long time ago.
  21. When asked about Kramer being a walk on Brad told me he would have been given a scholi because there were limitations put on walkons. Thinks like offseason workouts and possible trips.
