They showed up at SLU because they walked there from a protest on Vandeventer. Wash U may not have many African Americans but it far from be the whitest school around. The Asian population there is huge. This is a university that had a protest and sit in over Peabody Coal. They would have been welcomed with open arms.

I was at a business dinner last week with a couple of guys from Witchita Kansas . Somehow Billiken Basketball came up. They knew Jeff Reid and said he was doing well. Graduated from college and was looking for a job.

I'm not sure how to describe BillyLou. This was a Ekker special. Kind of had a head that sort of looked like a Billiken on a Big Bird body. When Ekker was fired he took BillyLou with him.

The old billiken in my day was someone in a tuxedo wearing a paper-mâché head. The head looked like the statue in front of the Fez.

I was riding north on Brentwood Blvd. when I glanced over at Rally's and saw a lot of Billiken Blue in the window. Did a quick turn to check it out. They really have a pretty good selection of stuff. The most I've ever seen anywhere except Chafitz . I'm now 100+ poorer , but what the hell it's for the program.

I liked the plus minus. Sure it could be flawed bit I also think it told you something if you looked behind the raw numbers. I really will miss the travel reports.
