BLIKNS
Just looking for thoughts here... I am not sure how many leagues do play a 20 game conference schedule, think the Big East does... Would there be advantages?? Scheduling?? SOS ? Just throwing this idea out there.

Yeah most power conferences are there or going there. The issue is getting Q1 or Q2 games. Adding another couple of conference games won't get that done. But getting OOC Q1/Q2 games isn't happening as often as it needs to for the A10 to elevate. Last season the A10 had 2 teams with a NET under 77. The only way 20 works is if those 250+ NET OOC buy games go away and 75 or better NET teams are played in the OOC. Not seeing that happening. thetorch
This is the trap the power conferences want mid majors to fall into. An expanded conference schedule forces two things. Mid Majors are forced to schedule all of their non con at home, because there are so many road games in conference. Power conference teams don't play them in the non con. This limits mid majors to playing in neutral site game against the power 6. The you are forced to schedule all cupcakes in your non con and never get your sos up. Or on the flipside you are forced to take buy games on the road against power 6 teams to offset your losses from not having home games. Again the power 6 teams get easier games at home and never have to play real competition on the road until conference play. Mid Majors should almost always do the opposite of what the power 6 does. The A10 should cut conference games to a minimum, giving their teams more flexibilty to schedule home and homes in the Non con. A big reason why SLU's schedule isn't finalized is because we have to have so many home games in non con because we are locked into so many road games in conference against terrible A10 competition. Cut 2 or 4 of those games and getting schedules done becomes much more easier.
