cheeseman
Their business model had been to give everyone a schollie for some activity - kind of a participation trophy thing. My cousin's son got a schollie for roller hockey. They get the kid to enroll and then let the chips fall where they may. Others kind of do the same thing but not as agressive as Lindenwood. Makes sense that they are realigning for the OVC though.
thunderdan
Seems like now would be a great time to put Lindenwood on the schedule. Those games would probably be pretty competitive. Both arenas would be packed.

It’s owned by St Charles County, which has set up an agency to run it. Lindenwood does not play its home games there, they play on campus in the Robert F Hyland Performance Arena. There was a proposed deal for Lindenwood to acquire the Family Arena, but it has never been finalized. Lindenwood may or may not make this deal happen. Lindenwood does hold commencement ceremonies there, as do other colleges like Maryville and I believe someone else. If you want to rent it out and have the money, St Charles County would be happy to talk to you. Last home game Lindenwood men’s BB had was 11/27 against Utah Tech, the box score said attendance was 747. They have never come close to selling out the 3270 seating capacity of the Hyland Center. Go catch a game if you want, parking is free. However, be aware neither Lindenwood or the OVC are really great, Lindenwood is currently 336 out of 362 in kenpom’s ranking. Lindenwood is, however, not the worst rated team in the OVC, that would be SEMO at 355 out of 362. There are 6 OVC teams ranked 321 or below currently.
