X in the A-10

Had mixed emotions about X beating Temple last night. Nice to see Temple with an L, but they'll be like a wounded tiger on Saturday prowling his own jungle. Also, X now has two W's over A-10 elite teams, although the W over Butler didn't count in the league standings. Still, this has to be encouraging to the young Muskies, when I was kind of hoping they'd be settling for middle of the pack results in a rebuilding year. Last night's W will fuel their confidence that they're still an elite A-10 team, and we already got enough of those this year.

Last night served as a reminder that this league is going to be an absolute beast and nearly every game is going to be a tough one.

To win this league, you are going to have to protect the home fires and steal some road wins. Home will be tough for us; we cannot come out "not ready to play" as I have heard players like Cassity, Lisch, Perry, Meyers, Drejaj and others say in the past. No excuse for that. Our home schedule is tough in conference. Umass, Butler, VCU, St. Joe's, Dayton, Charlotte and La Salle are all high flyers right now. Running that with winsa in the ledger will be tough. The road needs to be conqueredand will decide who finishes where. We all but have to win at Duquesne, at Fordham and at George Washington. Those are the dregs; no questions asked. That means we could be facing 50/50 games at the Bonnies, Xavier and Richmond. I can't see us winning at Butler right now --- the 14th rank team in the country should lose to no one at home. And Temple just got tougher what with them losing at X while coming off another loss at Kansas.

Every night look sto be a street fight with no holds barred.

Street fight? Backhand is there roided up with a crobar.

Bills will go undefeated in conference play. Quit whining.

Everybody has just as bad as us in conference, in the case of Butler and some others, worse. Success will breed success for sure.

If Butler wins a game in which they are favored in tomorrow, they will have 6 road games remaining all season long.

Butler had a very difficult schedule, it becomes one of the easier in the league if they are 2-0 with 14 games left and wins at St Joes and Dayton behind them.

Good luck in Chaifetz, bro.

Good luck in Chaifetz, bro.

With the 6 wins away from home, #14 Butler is 4th in the country

Marquette - neutral

North Carolina - neutral

Indiana - "neutral"

Northwestern - away

Vanderbilt - away

St Joseph's - away

-------------------------

Luck? Really?

Never seen a luckier stretch of Ws, personally.
