Triangle andToo
Triangle was really impressed with the play of Jordon Granger in tooday's big game. He is 6'7" and played his lane position very well with his footwork and with his hard play in rebounding. He has unlimited potential as a junior with a solid frame that will put on weight. Talking too people, he has already been offered by our Billikens, Mo. State and Tulsa but unfortunately Mizzou,Illinois and Arkansas are now starting too become involved. He may become the cream of the crop next year. See Earl's latest eval. so it goes. http://earlaustinjr.com/recruiting-news/3390.html

Chaminade killed Granger on the boards today. Granger already has an offer from Arkansas. Mizzou was reported to be offering but didn't. They are probably not pursuing him at this point. Talk at the game was that Young will have to go JUCO and is looking at different schools.
Triangle andToo
Maybe Triangle didn't explain things clear enough for you but Too was impressed with his footwork work in the lane and his positioning as a junior in high school FOR rebounds. As a junior, he has been in put a difficult situation playing with Young (who knows what that guy is going too do) especially in a nationally televised game, but he handled himself extremely well as just a junior. OH, how many points did he score? Young? Triangle could tell you some stories. so it goes.
kmbilliken
I was at the game. Granger was outplayed by Kelly, the Chaminade center who may be a DIII prospect. He didnt go after rebounds or assert himself offensively even though he and 3inches and a big wingspan advantage over everyone else on the court. He looks like he should be a player, but doesnt play like it. Hes a project. Young looks like a D1 player, but not SEC caliber.

On tv they said Kelly will be walking on at Ole Miss

thetorch
Hey, HE IS A JUNIOR!!!!!! Triangle guesses that recruiters and Earl are wrong and you are right. One of the top players next year metro, Triangle can't understand why they have offered, you are correct, sorry - . so it goes Granger will be one of the better players in the area next year. He's one of the top 5 big men this year and will be next year as well. He's a decent recruit but...... I don't think you were at the game or watched it. Young played pretty under control for him, too under control honestly. After he got into foul trouble and even before Garret was more assertive than Young driving the ball throughout the game. Granger was repeatedly out of position for rebounds, most of the time not even under the basket. On offense he clings to the high post, on days when North isn't hitting 3s he has no willingness to go after O boards. Granger scored 13 points, but should have more, he missed some gimmes because his footwork back to the basket is poor. He had several shots in the post flipped up or taken off balance. I'm not saying he isn't a D-1 player, he is, but you didn't watch this game if you came away with those opinions. Granger isn't a grinder underneath, and with his average athleticism he needs to be. Majerus stresses toughness, Granger isn't tough, not yet anyway.
