Cowboy
Yeah, I was going to post something on Lisch but didn't. He can't even get off the bench at this point and Fontbonne is awful this season (3-9 and lost to rival Webster 75-42 last game). -fault of the coach

3Jack
Colorado wins at Kansas St tonight. Looks like a tourney team to me. Alec Burks is a Missouri guy that flew completely under the radar now a potential lottery pick.

He starred in the state tournament for Grandview high. D1 coaches knew of him.

Kansas and other schools came after him that year but it was already too late.

It was just too late. Many players don't garner attention from the bigs until their senior year. That does not mean the big schools were not aware of them. If he wasn't under the radar he wouldn't be at Colorado.
STL Hoops Insider
are you telling me Colorado will likely have 2 1st round picks? Yes. Burks is a lock, and Higgins is projected as a first rounder by many pundits
STL Hoops Insider
If thats true it sure doesnt say a lot about the rest of the team or the coach considering they are picked to come in second to last in the big 12. It says that those who made the predictions were wrong, thats what it says. 14=5, and 3-1 in the Big XII. If they just finish the remaining conference games 6-6 and win a game in the Big XII tourney a 21-12 overall record and 9-7 conf finish will likely get them into the NCAA tourney. The problem with Colorado is it's just those 2 guys that you can count on in any given night and the rest of the roster is a huge question mark. If Burks doesn't shoot lights out against Mizzou, they lose. It's tough to count on one or two players to carry you every single game. Need other guys to step up. That said- they could be an 8-10 win team in the big 12 this year. Very impressed by the new coach, hope he tears up the pac 10 and I don't have to worry about him anymore. Knutson is a pretty reliable option. If MR can be a consistently steady offensive player, they'll have a pretty darn good team. Agreed on the coach, very impressed. They'll have to better than that to dance this year. Can't afford an early exit from Big 12 tourney and they of course need a winning league record.Colorado is moving from bottom Big 12 team to middle of the pack Big 12 team this year. Non-conference schedule was poor. They have one non-conference RPI top 50 win. ...currently a 77 RPI, slightly better from Ken Pom. Big game for them against a bad OU team today. Relphorde's numbers as expected have slipped a little against the tougher competition of league play.

STL Hoops Insider
Yeah, the non-conf wasnt great but they have conference wins over 2 top 25 teams already, including mizzou when they were number 10. If they can finish these last 12 conference games at least 6-6, it would give them a regular season finish of 20-11 and 9-7. If they can win at least 1 game in the Big XII tourney, they'll be happy on Selection Sunday. Middle of the pack in the Big 12 will get you in. Colorado had better hope KSU starts winning some games or that KSU win will keep slipping in terms of quality. ...with KU twice, at Mizzou, etc...Colorado has its hands full on their own trying to get a winning league record. We'll see how Relphorde plays and where they finish as well.
