Donnovan out of the NBA, back in at U of F

Strange deal for sure...the talking head on the local Tampa sports station was taking a more wait and see attitude as he claimed to have sources who said the Magic and Donovan continue talking and at least right now they still believe that Donovan will be their HC. Dononvan's word and creditibility would take a hit if he does head back to UF. Here is what was in the St. Pete Time Forum this morning.

Rumor has it that UF AD Jermey Foley was so distraught over Billy Barooo going to the NBA that he sought out his brother, Matt Foley, who as we all know, lives in a van down by the river. Matt was charged with getting Billy "back on the right track."

Supposedly the NBA is considering giving him a 5-year ban on coaching in the NBA. While this certainly will help save the face of the NBA I can't help but think that this is actually going to benefit Donovan as a college coach. Where previously other coaches would have told recruits that Donovan will jump to the NBA if he gets a big-time offer now everyone knows that he'll be in college for the next five years. This will be a recruiting advantage for him.
