Four Seventeen
It should read "Welcome, Coach." I think we covered comma usage in third or fourth grade, if I'm not mistaken. In any event, I'm glad to have Ricky Baby on board.
Jimmy Chitwood
I think it is right as is, 417. Welcome, Coach indicates that the coach initiated the welcome.

Quality Is Job 1
Actually, 417 is correct. When you address someone, you set off the addressee with commas: "Thank you, Mr. Chitwood, for taking time to read what I have to say." "You're welcome, my friend." Four Seventeen
I was just giving you a hard time, SSG. No worries. On a personal note, you excited for your commencement speaker this year? I heard that it's your outgoing chancellor or something?? Nice.
SluSignGuy
It was our outgoing President, but their was a bit of a student uproar. If GW has anything, it is whiny rich kids. GW boggled the PR of it. I can explain it in detail, but it gave Biondi a run for his money. Basically, the admin should have just been honest and upfront about wanting him as speaker, and more people would have accepted. After the uproar, the President used VA Tech as an excuse to step aside. It has just been silly. It would have been cool to have a bigger dignitary, but I am not losing sleep over it. Finals on the other hand...
