From what I saw of the point guards last night, I agree with you. In fact, if she doesn't start from here on out, I'd think the coach is nuts.

Julia, Brooke, and Kylie should all be starting. They're the returners and upper classmen who have played together. Obviously working out chemistry is a thing, but if you want to win or try to win, you go with what works.

Are we sure it's only home games? The article doesn't specify.

There are a number dates in conflict:
    11/7 at Dayton
    11/19-11/20 at the McNeese Tournament
    11/23 vs. Idaho State
    11/30 vs. East-West
    12/3 at Kansas City
    12/17 vs. Knox
    12/31 vs. Tennessee Tech
    1/14 at SIUE
    1/21 vs. Morehead State
    2/18 at Morehead State
    2/25 vs. Little Rock
And then the SLU-Dayton game at SLU is during the OVC Tournament, which is in Evansville.

It's not just dates, but most of the times are in conflict, too. I wonder how they're going to pull this off.

That's a lot more than I would have guessed. Hope it's just for the inaugural season.

Last year even when they lost I thought this team played with heart and tried their best at all times

    This ^

I saw none of that tonight except from what you mentioned in your post. I remarked to someone else that even when we were losing last year, it was entertaining and I think nuking the team with a coaching change was a meh idea.

Goodwin outplaying Deni and Davis by a large margin probably will result in him getting less minutes in that cover-your-ass-personnel department.  Can't have the G-League guy looking better than our top ten pick.

This makes no sense to me. Play with the hot hand, play to win(?) Championships mean more than draft picks performing/underperforming lol.

flavor officer' curating the stadium's menu.  They are going to be lucky if the stadium is ready by the start of next season.

I know the menu thing is in jest, but they're featuring a ton of local businesses for food options, which is a net positive despite the crappy contracting fiasco.

I was wondering about this too. I think last couple years pre-COVID they did indeed do one. It's a great opportunity to interact with fans and hype the team up so it should 100% be done every year.

For what it's worth, they did a students-only "pep rally" event to hype up students for the season. I saw a flyer somewhere for it and heard the attendance was somewhere below 300.
