  1. Via A10 talk article in other thread. Not the only report I’ve seen either:
  2. Mostly Twitter. Read he was Louisvilles #1 and talks fell through. Agree it is not Gospel
  3. It’s pretty cool we beat out Louisville
  4. Yes. Last season was the lowest in my fandom. We are exciting again!
  5. Haven’t watched in months. So tuned out. Looks like we had high school attendance tonight. Only thing I’m remotely interested in at this point is the head coaching search. Very little matters outside of getting that right
  6. Yes that’s fine and I agree re NIL. We have 0 reason to believe he can navigate NIL and transform a roster in an off-season
  7. This is the biggest thing for me. Nothing in the pipeline. Where is the talent? He’s brought in loaded classes before. He needs one now more than ever. How do you have a coach whose strength is recruiting, not recruit? We banking on his understanding of NIL and the portal he’s gained over the “last month” to bail out his skeleton crew of a roster for next season? Hell I might even be willing to give him an extra year if there was talent coming in. See Coach Gates at Mizzou- easily on the hot seat with 0 SEC wins but nothing else matters w a top 5 class coming in
  8. He skip post-game commentary again? No video/audio at all? S*** is so weak
  9. The A10 championship was a success. However long ago or short-lived it was.
  10. “Guys were tired” ”They shot well” ”We’re a little banged up” ”On the road in this league..”
  11. Good thing CTF now has a hold on NIL and the portal!
  12. I work in wealth management. In my industry, regulations are always changing (especially on the tax front). For example, the Required Minimum Distribution age just changed for a ton of Americans. This is something we have to be in front of in order to best return value for our clients. How, in the biggest change in collegiate sports ever, is his team JUST IN THE LAST MONTH getting a hold on transfer portal and NIL? It’s the dumbest thing he said all interview. No pre-planning, no vision, and no edge. It shows
  13. Parker’s shot making is crazy. His development can be considered a massive bright spot- Main objective outside of nailing the HC hire is keeping him at SLU
  14. Has to be the most pathetic Billiken blizzard in the history of the arena
  15. Our only 2 makes from deep. Proceeded to miss 12 straight
  16. Thoughts from the game (my 1st game of the season): My fiancé and I showed up an hour early. Let me tell you this- if you think Midtown is dead, Rogers park has it beat. The garage attendant genuinely had no idea where to get a drink pregame. “The Bulldog” closed (where we went last year). Astounding. Not a Loyola bar in sight. Pretty crazy. Stayed around for warmups. Interestingly, CTF wasn’t out there for early warm-ups. Maybe this is normal idk. I know he wasn’t game planning in the locker room though. Loyola student section brings in. Duke style where they take up the whole sideline. Engaged and loud- unlike ours. Chaifetz was courtside with May. Larry legend in attendance as well. Chaifetz and Ford were friendly pre-game, exchanging pleasantries. Who knows how many handshakes are left. We started out with 3 straight turnovers I believe (all bad). Got back into it and held a lead for a decent portion of the half. I thought defense was a little better than it has been in 1H. Ezewiro has no touch around the rim - it’s amazing. They took over 2H. Des Watson is a player. Their veteran guards played well. They had enough inside for us too. Pretty much what I expected. Loyola -10 one of the easier bets I’ve made. Decent SLU turnout fan-wise, nothing like last year. Last year we dominated the building with S-A-I-N-T chants. Not this year. Hope it’s one of the last games I see CTF on the sidelines. At a certain point you just know/believe you aren’t a very good team. I think our guys know this
  17. I mean there’s nothing. You’d think a Loyola bar would have to be somewhere
  18. Apparently The Bulldog is closed which served as a great pre-game spot last year. Anywhere to call an audible?
  19. I mean I’m sure this is really hard for him. His heart is definitely in it, so when you get results that are so off course it’s hard.
  20. A fair thought, but the hypothetical coach would’ve had to land him on the recruiting trail in the 1st place. Ford was punching above his weight class with that commitment and does deserve some credit. Not every day we beat out the likes of Texas, Michigan State, Purdue, Bama whether it’s a local kid or not
  21. I was happy to see Yuri leave at the time because I believed we had reached our ceiling with him. In reality, it was Ford’s ceiling we had reached
