  1. Any chance he’s waiting to see the status of the proposed transfer rule change?
  2. Agreed. My doubting of Perkins occurred over the first 10 games, when he was objectively bad. His turnaround was nothing short of amazing. All credit goes to him for working through his struggles and emerging as a star.
  3. Perkins was a different case though, as he produced big time numbers in JUCO.
  4. I'll check those out. Have you watched Dark on Netflix? Highly, highly recommend.
  5. That’s right. I believe I read Perkins weighed something like 140 pounds coming out of high school.
  6. Watched Parasite over the weekend. If you’re comfortable with sub-titles, it’s worth a watch.
  7. Read my post above. Old Boys Club is a self-created term/group by some longtime posters on this board.
  8. FYI: Old Boys Club is a long-standing, self-created name for a group of longtime posters. It’s use is not derogatory.
  9. Great idea but impossible with our system of Federalism.
  10. What you described is how our current system is structured. If an insurance company located in state A wants to sell policies in state B it must have the appropriate licensure in both states and follow DOI regulations in the state(s) it chooses to sell policies. The entire reasoning behind the concept of selling across state lines is to allow an insurer to be licensed (and regulated) in one state while selling policies in as many states as it wants. This is where challenges regulating the insurer come into play. Interestingly, the ACA explicitly allows for selling across state lines, but it is up to individual states to pursue laws operationalizing it.
  11. As I’m sure you know, part of the ACA expanded Medicaid funding to allow states to expand eligibility. Thus, there are many more Americans on Medicaid today than before the ACA. Selling insurance policies across state lines would create a variety of issues, including challenges regulating insurers. It would also reduce competition in the long run. On the surface it seems like a great idea, but there are a ton of reasons it will never become reality. This is good dialogue. Ultimately, as Skip stated, we need experts from both sides of the aisle to come together to re-create our healthcare system. The ACA only provided patchwork to an already broken system.
  12. Good post. Who did you purchase insurance through prior to the inception of the Affordable Care Act?
  13. Sincerely curious which executive orders and legislation from Obama’s years nearly ruined America. Please explain.
  14. Maybe I've missed it, but I don't see people posting articles from Huff Post or Buzzfeed as though they are solid news sources.
  15. Jimerson is also 3 inches taller which helps.
  16. Of course a lot of this is fun hypotheticals, but I consider Jimerson one of the best NBA prospects on our team. I don’t think Goodwin or French will ever play in the NBA, although I hope they prove me wrong.
  17. Perkins, Jimerson, Hargrove, French, Goodwin
  18. To be fair, most are saying we DON’T have 4 future NBA players. Rather, we have 4, maybe 5, guys with a ceiling that could land them on an NBA roster.
  19. Travis Ford and Jim Crews are/were the salesmen and conductors of the product, not the product. Small but important distinction.
  20. I understand the sentiment, but fraud is fraud. The more frustrating thing is that more of the corrupt people involved weren't prosecuted.
  21. The problem a lot of people have with him is his approach. If this ends up leading to a vaccine or treatment, he'll personally take credit. If it doesn't, he'll point the finger and lie about ever touting it.
  22. You may get your wish, as the model being used by the White House is predicting roughly 2,000 deaths per day in mid-April.
