Another hot start wasted with poor defense

I saw the red panda on ESPN game day halftime show in the background a couple of weeks ago. Looked like she put on some lbs.

That game was almost as tough to watch as the halftime baseball team dance sequence. Mental lapses, no movement, “hero ball” in crunch time. Also, the basketball was really bad.

We can’t even be the best at having a disappointing season… jesuz Christ Dayton!!

Why does he continue to play jimerson almost every minute of every game. Dude gets tired late in games and is not as effective making 3s. And he’s a sh*ty defender anyway…. I just don’t get it.

Just terrible execution down the stretch.. I haven’t seen a collapse like that since… the last time we played… what a disappointing year. Even if by some miracle we win the A10 and go to NCAA, I still don’t think I could shake the ptsd from this regular season.

Not making any excuses for ford, but I watch a lot of college bball. And a big part of some of better offenses is creating mismatches and allowing scorers to take their man one on one and score. Perk and certainly picket were not able to do that last night. So many missed mid range shots. that being said, with fordham playing so far out and not much help defense, run a damn back screen.. cheese and rice!!!

Speaking for myself, I stand by my statement that I have serious concerns with how ford has constructed rosters and coached these last 4-5 years. glad we are winning now, but We haven’t played VCU or Dayton yet. we haven’t beat Davidson in four years, although they are much weaker this year.

On the post game ford said he’s hitting the recruiting trail on this bye Wednesday. Hopefully he’s visiting some very large young fellas

I saw Kellen while I was driving down grand like a month ago and said to myself, “hey, that’s kellen Thames on a scooter.. he’s too close to the road”

I didn’t get to watch until late last night on the ESPN+ replay. 3 takeaways: 1. Nice win! 2. both of those play by play guys were so bad it was almost like an SNL skit. 3. I saw some guy hunched over with bent knees, getting low when he was bringing the ball up the court and I was like “holy sh*t, that’s Perkins!!”

Same. What do we have to lose? At large bid? Doubtful. Roll it out there and see what happens!!

IF.. and I mean this is a big IF this team somehow turns it around and makes a run in the A10 tourney and Ford keeps his job, I would expect an ‘All systems go!’ On the transfer portal by Ford and company and that’s exactly what I’d do too. these recruits and young guys seem nice, but other than Larry jr showing he can play a little, we have zero evidence that these guys can come in and win.

He could probably get a mini payday at a large school and get the kellen Grady treatment “stand in the corner and shoot when I tell you to..”
