The NIT doesn’t really move the needle for me. But yes, I would take those results over what we’ve got from Ford.

Poor coaching always accentuates the negative. Look at Memphis.. penny is loaded with 4star guys and the results have been blah.

Maybe ford has gotten some bad breaks, sure. But when has he ever overachieved during his tenure at SLU?!? And getting 3 more wins in a year when you are projected to win 15 does count.. When has he won a big game that we weren’t supposed to win? Big time upsets are what college basketball is all about and somehow he’s gone 0’fer… it’s mind blowing.

This might be the most disappointed I’ve ever been as a Billiken fan. Ford has got to go. Nice guy. Seems like he wants to win. Seems like Guys like playing for him for the most part. But he has to go. There will probably be a lot of fall out with transfers, recruits, coaching staff… but I’m ready to rip the band-aid.

I’m happy with the W. Our offense becomes predictable at times, but we are still scoring plenty of points. You’re gonna have games where nothing is falling and clicking on offense.. you just got to be able to play solid, disciplined defense and grind out wins. Defense travels. Defense keeps big leads. Just my cliche opinion..

Terrible StJ team almost hangs an 80 on us… 16 turnovers. Same of the same.

Just not enough dogs on the defensive end… don’t know if ford will be around next year or who will be coming back but we need to recruit or pick up some tougher athletes for next year.

I just don’t get it. We are basically the same team as last year, but we upgraded (in my opinion) in Picket for Nesbit and we also got Perkins back. Somehow we are worst. Defense is weaker than a kitten. No consistency, no, what I like to call, “grit”. We score lots of points when we get to play our game, but if you knock us off our game we become frazzled little school girls. Blowing big leads and getting skunked in road games means lack of mental toughness and not being prepared aka coaching…

This team is soft. No doubt. But ford has also underperformed with Dobermans like jgood and French. Common denominator..

When did that rule change? The ‘90s and ‘00s were awful. I remember those KU teams would just sprint down the court and wildly flail into defenders and always get the call. A good rule change by the NCAA.

Seemed like both Okora and forrester were out there for longer stretches tonight. Not up and down on the bench every foul or bad play. Seemed to help Okora get in the flow.

If by ‘just keeping the local guys’ you meant the likes of T reed, Caleb love, etc. we’d be a top 5 team. But we can’t even afford those types now. Let alone convince them to stay home.

The only thing this game was missing was the “I’ve been out classed and I’ve ran out of ideas” technical on Ford…

Wow. Devastating loss. I hope ford plays a deeper bench for the rest of the season to get guys time. Even if it means more losses. 6th or 2nd in A10 no difference in my opinion. Of course you know that’s not going to happen.
