  1. No. No. No. No. No.
  2. That is one of the best press conferences I have ever seen. Incredibly classy.
  3. A quick glance at this clown's Twitter infuriates me.
  4. Goodwin and Bishop in the back court would be money.
  5. Wonder how much fallout there will be roster-wise. These next few weeks shall be very interesting.
  6. Wouldn't it usually be the new coach who decides that fate? I would imagine Platt will be gone based on recruiting. Calbert would seem likely to leave since Crews and him had that Indiana connection. Tanner is really the only guy I don't know about.

  8. Incredible how quick that was. There is no way Crews didn't know right?
  9. I think the A10 Facebook has them.
  10. Wow that was fast. I think it is the right move. At the end of the day I think Jim Crews is a good man, and I'm thankful for what he did with Rick's guys. However, his time has passed. It is the right move and hopefully we can rebound from these last 2 years and one day look back and be thankful for the good times under him.
  11. Continuing my post above, there are very good Spanish players. I just don't think we look at them.
  12. Basketball is, at best, an second-tier sport here. Unfortunately it plays second fiddle to soccer which is incredibly dominant. Even more so than the NFL. I believe there could be a way for us to better utilise the fact we have a school over here to recruit internationally, but it would require some planning by the AD that I don't believe they could properly handle.
  13. MY with the coast to coast kick the ball off his own leg after a drive into 3 defenders. Ugh.
  14. As a student currently abroad at our Madrid campus, I am not surprised. There's no athletic program over here so that's the main reason. Well, also the fact that every 18-22 year old over here smokes like a chimney.
  15. MY with a fantastic (need that blue type) shot.
  16. What is Bartley doing on that drive? My goodness that shot was awful.
  17. I really am frustrated watching Wantanabe play. He is shooting well tonight but it seems like his game could be so much more and it isn't.
  18. I agree with the premise of not hating the players, some of them have moments of enjoyable play. However, it is clear that major change is needed, and that frustrating play is far too prevalent. The mirage of upside is much harder to see for the sophomore class, though I agree JB shows promise and should be a good 4 year player. The group might be "unhateable" in the words of the author, but this roster and coaching is incredibly frustrating.
  19. The ideal fit for Tatum (aside from hiring him last summer as a validation of his coaching prowess and way to land JT) is to be an assistant under the next coach. Perhaps if SLU went with an older guy, tabbing Justin as the coach in waiting would be a decent way to have him grow with the program as it is rebuilt. I think he is a solid coach and one deserving of an assistant post for a college program, but as many have said, hiring him now would still cause a collective head shake for not hiring him last summer.
  20. I don't think it would happen. But what an emotional roller coaster that could provide if then younger decided to not go to Duke...
  21. Also, SLU offered the aforementioned Godwin Boahen on March 1st, per his coach.
  22. Reggie had improved tremendously, as of late. Before the last few weeks his performance was not all that different from last year.
  23. I believe so until his foot started bothering him. He is a gifted offensive player and having two legs underneath him next season would lead to a big senior year.
  24. Bishop and Crawford are tied in my eyes. An off-season of improvement for JB and a chance for MC to rest would do wonders for the team. As dreadful as the past two years have been, those two could form an above average A-10 backcourt. I really think Crawford is going to have a huge year next year, especially if a new system is employed and we can run him off some baseline and flare screens.
  25. Hiring Porter would have one benefit that I personally know off the bat and it is random. But it would possibly open up the door for us to be in the Maui invitational. Really can't explain much more than that without names and such. But it is a thing.
