NW had one win against top 50 RPI teams in 11 tries. I know they got a lot of pub recently but I don't think the committee would have put them in IMHO.

I think the fair question is where has this Rickma been the last 5 years? It's not hard to get fired up for SLU when you hear this version(and I'm speaking as a non alum of course). But when he bailed on the radio show, etc I think people were kind of turned off. He is as engaging as they come when he wants to. E.

Agree. It is what it is. The players on the BCS teams try just as hard and want to make the tournament just as much as the mid major and lower major players. A system is in place for every team to make the tourney every year. Not the case in football.

Using your logic, you could say the same thing about Conklin facing BCS completion very night. You can't have it both ways. You can't cry that the big conferences get all the advantages over teams in the A10 and them claim a guy or team from some "lowly" major is inferior to the A10. Look Kyle Weems is a great player but I don't think he better than Thomas Robinson.

If you complain that the "mediocre" BCS team shouldn't get in over the likes of a mid major than you also have to accept that the teams and conferences farther down the food chain will complain when their top teams get overlooked in favor of "mediocre" mid major teams. Someone is always going to be pissed off.

I'll agree with the disrespect part. I think the MVC is more similar to the A10 than the A10 is to say the Big 10 or Big 12.

Both have or will have similar RPI's Both conferences had similar RPI's Both lacked wins against top 50 RPI teams Both did or will finish near top of conference I know in years past there have been those who have said Mo St or the Valley had "figured" out the RPI system and how to schedule in order to get a good RPI. What have the Bills done this year that makes them an automatic tourney team while the Bears got screwed? And i ask not to dismiss the Bills. I'm a fan. Obviously as you can tell my main allegiance lies with the Bears.
