  1. The A-10 TV network has been shut down??!! Seriously though, it is still up. Just checked.
  2. So, is that like an affectionate tap, 'an excuse me' bump? I guess if they've added flagrant fouls to the rulebook, then it stands to reason that there should be the opposite. "I'm sorry...." ,.... "no, no, MY fault entirely". And thanks to all who explained the mystery whistle. A check for an elbow thrown seems like the most logical explanation.
  3. No, I've seen that done before. THIS whistle blew because of the play I described. It was either a foul or a walk. If it was a walk, the Bonnies would have gotten the ball back. If it was a foul, we'd have the ball but the foul has to be announced to the official scorer and I didn't see that happen. And with only an explanation to the benches, WE got the ball. There was a lot of crappy officiating in that game, but my beef here is that I still don't know what that particular call was.
  4. We don't even have the crucifix on our uniforms in support of our missionaries. Actually, if you're gonna have OUR flag, then it just seems right to have the flags of New Zealand, Australia, Greece and Canada on there too. We are an international team. Like Kroenke, we need to expand our brand globally.
  5. Thanks Pistol. Glad it wasn't just me. Baffling is the word. I thought it was either a foul (and it should clearly have been) or traveling. The ref went so fast to the monitor it was almost like he had a brain cramp and forgot what to call. When they didn't announce a foul yet gave us the ball, I didn't know what to think.
  6. That was some of the worst college bb reffing I have EVER seen. Mostly the tall ref. I thought maybe he was getting paid by the tweet. I thought we'd be there all night and foul everyone out! Reminds me, does anyone know what the call was (or reason) when two of the refs decided to look at the monitor. It was first half, we pulled down a defensive rebound, our guy appeared to have been fouled which caused him to walk. Whistle blows by thin ref, who immediately goes to the TV with the tall ref. Neither makes a call one way or the other. They spend a couple minutes looking, then just give us the ball under the Bonnies basket and the game goes on. And I don't think it's asking too much to let the paying customers know what the call was. They made a point of telling the coaches, and whatever they called (as I said, we got the ball), Majerus didn't appear happy. I assume no foul, since none was announced. Sorry to be so long-winded. Anyone?
  7. Hey, I'M old and I haven't lost the game thread. Still looking for a gotdamn internet feed though.
  8. By the way, are you THE Thomas Crone of radio fame?
  9. Yeah, but their mascot is by "design". The one I cited (Amarillo, s'posed to be a sock) was just a happy "boner". Apparently designed by a clueless spinster woman.
  10. This is still my favorite "mascot misadventure": http://sportsclimax.com/wtf/amarillo-mascot-is-a-real-boner/ And I apologize for hijacking your thread.
  11. Man, I was SO hoping for a different message.
  12. We're gonna live or die with our outside shooting. We don't have a reliable inside game. These guys have to make these outside shots.
  13. Football will be on in a litle while.
  14. At least sombody has a Barnett that can shoot.
  15. If we can't shoot, we ain't gonna go anywhere. We can't hit anything.
  16. Anybody listening to the Charlotte guys? Shouldn't the color guy be doing, oh I don't know, Alabama football or something?
  17. Hard to believe these guys started practicing in August.
  18. We've got 3 experienced head coaches on the team. You'd think if we had any advantage, it would be that one. And I don't know either. I think we're just not as good as we thought we'd be. (I'm as disappointed as anyone with last night's game, but I agree with others, Temple is very good and shot the lights out last night.)
  19. I sit upstairs in the east end and I have a good view of the whole place. Very few empty seats in ANY section. Even the high roller seats were not an embarrassment last night. I have to believe there were almost 10 thousand there.
  20. I was surprised too. I thought we maybe approached 10,000 last night. I would say it WAS fuller than Saturday. I don't know how they count discounts and/or freebies so maybe that had something to do with it.
  21. It wouldn't have mattered. Without the charter flights, our kids are too tired to shoot em anyway.
